Of course. N now now we're really well we're just waiting for the apartments out of finish up, so hopefully Brandford will get them done. Okay. C twenty one. Andrew Baxter, Willem Revise.
Kathryn StarkeyThis is pretty crazy right here.
Unidentified speakerVoice AGood afternoon, Doug Anderson, uh Assistant Facilities Management Director. We want to withdraw C twenty one. Yeah, withdraw. Okay.
Kathryn StarkeyIs that a So I looked it up, I dropped a pin at that address. There's a trailer there. Is this is is there an existing home on this property or is this
Unidentified speakerVoice AThere's an existing property but was it was a um
Kathryn StarkeyYeah, I figured that. Um actually this has been a problem in that community for a while. So this is interesting. So the sheriff Got possession of the property because it was a drug house?
Unidentified speakerVoice BCorrect.
Kathryn StarkeyAnd then um and so so then it went uh I read the memo, it's my district, so um so then it went to uh um the sheriff said we need to auction it off and they get the proceeds.
Unidentified speakerVoice AThey get half the proceeds.
Kathryn StarkeyAnd um It was It went out for two thousand five hundred dollars for this home? That's correct.
And that was the the it has a home on it. I mean it I mean it's not a very nice one but So um so we were getting then then we deducted our fees
Unidentified speakerVoice AYes. So
Kathryn Starkeythe sheriff's getting like four hundred dollars or something like that on that?
Unidentified speakerVoice AI'm not exactly sure the uh final amount they'll get.
Kathryn StarkeyAnd so I think we would have all been better off if we had gotten this, knocked that garb that piece of garbage down and given this property to someone to build a home on it instead of a dare Keep keep a derelict trailer uh with someone now moving into a derelict trailer for five hundred dollars. So I don't know. Can we look at these? I'd like to look at this process again and we're all better off to not have the same kind of habitat
continuing in a neighborhood like that.
Jack MarianoChairSo We haven't sold the property yet though.
Kathryn StarkeyI don't know why he's r pulling it, but they but they got bids and the winning bid was twenty five hundred dollars.
Jack MarianoChairSo it's gonna be another
Kathryn Starkeydrug ad.
Jack MarianoChairSomehow make the check to the sheriff for four hundred dollars and then go demolish themselves and then go put it in market as a as a new structure coming up.
Mike CarballaI don't know what the terms of the sale are or the bid. I mean I think staff wants to withdraw it at this point so we can huddle on this. But I don't know why they're withdrawing it.
So we we'd like to withdraw it and we'll bring it back. Okay.
Mr. Strack, you can I'll
Jack MarianoChairlet you follow on that one.
Kathryn StarkeyYeah, I just think when we have an opportunity to start improving a neighborhood, we should be jumping on it, not letting the same thing go on and on.
