   1:02:56Aye. Thank you. And I pulled C23. Um I wanna it for a good reason. I I think it's a great project for us. Uh Hudson Beach has struggled a lot with pollution source tracking up and down as far as what's causing it. Wow, they've knife Florida says They've replaced all the pipes so it couldn't be that. Uh we have shrimp boats down the end. We see Sewage we see uh oil sheen Uh All sorts of things that just kinda like Shouldn't

   1:03:27be there. So uh I'm I'm very happy DEP has been working with us to try to get this uh project done and coming forward with it. Uh I will tell you Colleen Weaver was very dedicated in tracking this down, looking at this every step of the way through. So I'm very excited about this project, which I think will help and Uh this may be something we can look at for down the road for even other parts of the county's canal system.

   1:03:51Yeah, I was gonna pull it um then I saw it on here. Um and in my meetings with Mr. Karbala yesterday, he knows I was gonna bring this up. So I think it's really important to fix the issues that are up there. Um but But uh I personally think we should be testing the whole coast. And um so I d don't wanna interrupt this at all, but just wanted to bring up the fact that I don't think no if we sample any of our coastline uh except when except near that beach and

   1:04:21maybe Green Key, I don't know. So I think it would be smart for us to see what's going on along our coastline. And I've mentioned this before, to have a comprehensive plan for the whole coast. I'm glad we're talking about dredging, but I'm not sure if you're You know, we wanna we wanna maximize the opportunities we have on the coast to make sure we're taking care of our coast.

   1:04:41those are my thoughts.

   1:04:42You know, Commissioner Starkey, one of the things of Um The living seawalls that uh the people from Miami uh that brought the technology over from the Netherlands They actually have monitoring systems in all the seawalls. So my thought is when we do baffle boxes or litded traps, whatever and be on these canals going up and down. that we put that living seawall to the back end of every wall. We can have a monitoring system there as well, that we can just have it instantaneously get that information, keep an eye at it as it goes. Uh so that's something we can incorporate

   1:05:12down the road as well.

   1:05:16I'm in agreement also that we need to make sure that Coast is cleaned up and environmentally it's it's safe for everyone and and it's a good, healthy, growing coast that we can all enjoy. So it's a plus plus for our county to kind of material out of out of Other areas in the coast. So Um um Very much for ever uh doing the best we can for all that. Very good. Commissioner Bradford.

   1:05:44I'd like to echo those comments. I think uh the coast of Pasco County is an area that uh I call it the untapped gem of Pasco County. That's the first thing. And Mr. Chair, you were mentioning monitoring. Would the state of Florida be involved in any of that monitoring in addition to the county?

   Jack MarianoChair

   1:06:03I think so. As a matter of fact, we might even get some federal help. There's a lot of federal money out there for r restoration of canals, et cetera. So I think we can tap into that and for the monitoring part, I think. DEP nationally as well as uh statewide would be very very interested in h in helping us.

   1:06:18And the but the operational control would be Pasco County?

   1:06:21I think so would be Pasco County, yeah.
