And I just pulled this item. This is a progressive design build agreement with Volga Brothers of the Land O' Lakes Water Treatment and Rehabilitation Expansion. Now what I wanted to bring out was as we always hear that you know the counties spending so much money But utilities are an enterprise funds alone, but the number of dollars that it takes to go build this because of new treatment conditions that are put in drive up the cost dramatically. And if you would just talk about what burden

our people are being faced with because of the water treatment, I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying it's reality to when you increase the conditions, which I think is good for the environment. But there's a cost to it, if you would address that for us.

    Adolpha Gonzalez

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Good morning, Commissioner. Adolfo Gonzalez, Utilities Engineering and Contract Management Director. This is a an amendment to the Progressive Design Build Project for the Land O' Lakes Wastewater Treatment Plant. This amendment is to initiate the construction phase. The total contract amendment is $142 million. Of that $142 million, approximately $26 million is for new regulations that have been implemented since the construction of the existing plant that's there. Of the $142 million, about three quarters of that

is to upgrade and rehabilitate the existing plant. And another quarter, about thirty-five million, is to provide for additional or future growth or new capacity. That plant right now is permitted at three and a half million gallons per day of capacity. We're gonna add another million and a half gallons of day of capacity for that system.
