I just wanted that on the record. Thank you. Um, okay. Woo. All right, so now we are on R fifty nine. Um
Back again. All right. R fifty nine, this in front of you is the a resolution to uh basically approve the Advisory committee for the MSBU we just discussed. It will be comprised of seven members. All members must own property within the boundaries of the MSBU, as you saw on the overhead, and all members will be appointed by the BCC.
No approval.
Okay.
Um yeah, there was a discussion that I wanted to have but I'm trying to remember what it was. Okay.
Oh I
know what
I'm saying. Let me let me commend you on
uh
making this happen. I know our Came to me in the summer of twenty sixteen trying to make this happen and then you g you got you you were working on it and kept on working on it and Uh been a lot of ups and downs and things to go through and I think the discussion of everybody made this the great project it's gonna be. So thanks for making making the right thing happen.
And you know when we started down this path We we we started a different way. We thought we w we thought we had a donor who was gonna do a tax write-off. We were we were trying all different kinds of ways to buy this. And then when the the offer came in and this we have some new people here When the uh full price well full price that when that offer came in at one point two Um cash. That kinda sealed. the the route that we had to take. And uh the owner
or the l the person who had the lien on the property I guess was kind enough to let us match that Which put him into a six year kind of Holding period. which unfortun unfortunately really affected the inheritance of the actual uh two um grandchildren of the former owner of that golf course. That was their inheritance and I I don't think they got any. It think it went up in um interest. But um We
uh I know we as a community are are are looking forward to being ha to having a safe place to walk our dogs, to ride our bikes. And to uh Do the other things that the community decides We'll be able to do in our park. Okay, and is this a roll call or no?
No, this is not a roll call.
Um all those in favor? Aye. Aye. Opposed? All right, and now this will appeal appear on our tax rolls, not this next year, but the that was the one last question. Sorry, Terry.
Yeah.
We kinda missed missed the the deadline or something happened.
So it will be the following year.
All right. But we're not gonna wait to get this advisory committee put together. We're gonna get moving on that, right?
That's correct, yes.
And we thank you for uh starting to clean up the property. It looks so much better already. I I I did I had no idea what it looked like. I've never been in there.
We we're getting a lot of positive comments on that. So it's to thank the county administrator for helping us with the budget on that. So
thank you very much. And thank you all commissioners. It's uh It's been a long seven years, but we're here. Thank you. Thank you. Okay.
All right, what I've lost my place here. So we are on what number, Terry? P sixty five.
