Tax Collector

Good morning. Good morning, Madam Chair. Good morning, Commissioners. Um, I won't take but a few minutes. Uh normally when you see the tax collector Uh it's because I want to get money from you. Today I'm gonna give you a little money. Um, you know, each year that uh our s our staff work so diligently to do provide such excellent service to not only people in Pasco but throughout the state. They come from all over the state to visit our offices. to get o uh get services without having to require a um an appointment Um and uh normally I'm able to give you some dollars

back each year. Uh we had budgeted to give you back uh two point one million dollars this year. I'm happy to report I'm gonna present you a check with uh three point five million dollars. Um and uh but there's but

I know it needs a bat.

I need two hundred and fifty thousand of that to go to the sheriff. Uh so uh he's building a training center. He's agreed to put a little training center in Hat building for us. And um and I'd like to ask if you would consider I'm sure you'll get with your county administrator and staff of how that goes about. But uh of the $3.5 million, if $250,000 would go to the Sheriff for the purpose of uh building us part of uh that uh his training center, inside there will be a nice uh 500 square foot room

for our training center for our new employees and present employees.
