54:34Pasco County, Florida, recognizing Rotary District 6950, Pasco County residents, Moss Nissan, and Big Strong Brewery for providing assistance to the citizens of Lee County, Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. RAS on September 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian made landfall in our state, causing severe destruction and devastation throughout Florida. And RAS Hurricane Ian Ian made landfall as a category four hurricane and was the deadliest hurricane to strike the state of Florida since nineteen thirty five Labor Day hurricane. NRAS,

55:05upon learning the needs of Lee County citizens, Pasco County residents immediately responded. NRAS Rotary District 6950 and other Pasco County volunteers accepted donations of needed supplies, including equipment, food, and water. NRAS Moss Nissan opened up their Bay Area locations to accept donations for 49 clubs of Rotary District 6950 volunteers. Volunteers filled four

55:36Enras Big Storm Brewery opened their doors to collect donations and supplies to be transported to affected Lee County citizens. And RAZ District Rotary District 6950 delivered supplies to the Pasco Sheriff's Deployable Emergency Response Teams stationed in both Fort Myers and Bonita Springs. Yeah. And RA and whereas, Rotary District 6950 also raised nearly eighty-five thousand for additional hurricane relief efforts in Lee County. ANRAS private citizens, including Alex Hamilton, Alana Crumley, Alison Crumley, Leah Crumley,

56:06Sean Housman, and Lori Zeller, volunteer to aid in relief efforts. And RAS volunteers partner together to aid in cleanup efforts, including debris removal, sewage cleanup, and more. And RAS, Lee County continues to rely on the support of our dedicated volunteers to recover and rebuild. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, that said board hereby recognizes Road to Redistrict 6950, Moss Nissan, Big Storm Brewery, Alex Hamilton, Alana Crumley, Alison Crumley, Leah Crumley, Sean Halsman, and

57:12briefly because we're we're humbled. We don't we don't even need this. We'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much. And as you know, there was a lot of people that did a lot of things, but we're just Florida folks who saw other Florida folks really hurt. And as Sheriff Nacko so well put it, it could have been us and at it looked like it was going to be. So we just um thought, you know, let's just do what we can because it could be us sometime and we hope somebody if we needed help would come and help us and there is

57:42a little story about a Uh U-Haul that broke down for seven hours on the side of the road. And just so you know, U-Haul doesn't let triple A come and fix a tire. They have to send the person. So it it was an interesting day the first day, but And my son-in-law here, he is in the US Navy and I'd like to thank him because he took time off from McDill to go down there. And that that's really it. We just want to help you.

58:08Share my Florida folks. Can you share what you did down there? Yes, go ahead, Leah.

58:12Um we distributed uh multiple products to the Cajun Navy based out of Louisiana, started, I believe, around the time of Hurricane Katrina. Um they administer private boats. Um they've got their basically own Navy to go out rescue. I know that he did wellness checks. Um on victims, the hardest hit areas, which were uh mobile home parks right on the coast. Um, but the distribu distribution of products was a huge focus that we wanted to focus on because so many

58:42people were without just basic needs like water and food. So um and diapers, you know, uh things for kids and whatnot. So that was kind of what we focused on, about fifteen thousand dollars worth of goods down there. The U Hall couldn't handle it so tire popped, but we got it all down there. And then we did another load too, so um yeah it was life change. And we cleaned up houses.

59:07And that's the remarkable thing. They actually Took shovels and helped clean up the houses.

59:13We knocked on doors.

59:14The water levels rose. I mean and the hardest hit was fifteen feet, but even in homes east of seventy five they got six feet of water in their homes. So that's where we kinda catered to 'cause a lot of the focus was on um the coast. And a lot of we just knocked on doors and elderly couples were, you know, floored when they saw us and we helped them out. So yeah. Well we're very grateful.
