Item P thirty-one is PDE twenty-five zero zero six two. This is an ordinance amending the Pasco County Comprehensive Plan, providing for text amendments to Chapter 2, future land use element, appendix section flu A6. This comes to you with a recommendation. To approve the proposed covers of plan amendment and adopt the ordinance by roll call vote and there's
a presentation if so desired.
This is our ADU ordinance.
Is
that correct? Okay. Um, but this is we will be having another discussion on this. Uh in a In a month or two?
Um
when we go into our rules, but this is just amending the comp plan to allow for ADUs. Madam Chairman Move approval.
Is there any public comment on this item?
Is there anyone online who would like to speak to this?
No one signed up in advance, no one's signed up here.
Okay.
Discussion?
Sure.
I just want to make sure when this does come back as the zoning that we do have a lot of options for the ADUs. Um The staff's maybe some references to where they're expecting every unit that comes in is gonna be smaller than one that's there. Sometimes it's not gonna be as beneficial to the people. So I just want to make sure when we look at it, we look at all the options that the people want to try to keep Let's say bigger growth from coming in but more more efficient use of the uh space so families can actually live on their larger processes together as they want and just make it more flexible.
Yeah, and I think they do have size restrictions. But we'll we'll go over all of that. Okay, so we have a motion. Did I get a second? I think it's
roll call, right?
It is a roll call.
I think I still need a second. Okay. Roll call vote.
District One, Commissioner Oakley. Aye. District two, Commissioner Weightman. Aye. District four, Commissioner Yeager.
Aye.
District three. We cannot do that. Commissioner Mariano. District three, Chairman Starkey.
Aye. So you have an opportunity to speak at at any public hearing. But you have to do that when I call for public
Comment
so Um you cannot you can stand up and come to the podium when I ask if there's any public comment. Yep,
Madam Chairman
Yes.
Uh can I turn maybe? It clearly tell the folks
how to Pre prepared to come up and speak for the item and that sort
of
thing.
So the portion of the agenda they're on right now are the ordinances which which are on the agenda as thirty, thirty-one, thirty-two, thirty-three, The the if the if there is if there is an item which you wish to to speak to, you're given three minutes. When the Chair calls for public comment, you should have pre registered on the list, but they'll still take your public comment, but you have to come up when comment is called. Uh
at thirty-four the public will be sworn in. Those are quasi-judicial hearings, those are rezoning amendments. So thirty-four through the end of the agenda. Um end of the public hearing agenda will be taken up and those will be most of those will be sworn public hearing. I will res read the procedures for rezoning when we get to that portion of the agenda.
