Kathy? This is an amendment to the to the Parks MSTU. Um there is a there the ordinance is being amended to add language uh which would allow it to be uh allow it to be imposed in the incorporated areas of Pasco County. Um
I'll wait for the Fire engine to go by. Um and so if I'll I'll I'll We're adding it we're adding it to section two of the ordinance, um the language and within incorporated areas subject to the consent of the appropriate mist municipality, which is consistent with Chapter 125 When a MSGU is optionally uh being created for cities to participate.
Uh Mr. Carbala, did you have anything for
Mr. No, no, you hit the nail on the head. This is just uh enabling language in the ordinance to allow cities to participate. We would still work with them next year. Right now the current consensus of the board appears to be to set a zero millage. We'll discuss that at the end. trim of course, but we'll continue to work with the cities. Uh many of the cities that uh were considering it backed out right now just due to the referendum in November and we're wanted to be cautious on how their upper limits of millage looked. So I think adding it is perfectly acceptable
at this point in time. It's something we had planned to do. It's just something it'll be one less thing that we have to do next year.

Christy Zimmer on record. Um If I understand this correct, the you're creating an MSTU for the parks and recreation to be able to have the money that they need to operate on a regular basis instead of through the taxes that's going to possibly be eliminated by the bill on in November?
No. No. Alright, it's the MSTU is already created. This would be affected by the state amendment as well. It's ad valorem taxes. The only thing this amendment is doing is it's it allows it to be collected within the cities if they opt in.
