Michaela Krause Michaela Krause [address removed] I have sworn. Good afternoon, Commissioners. I am here today on behalf of myself and my neighbors to urge you to deny the application for the proposed cell tower on the west side of Lanor Road, approximately 2,300 feet south of Chansey Road. Our objection is grounded strictly in land use compatibility and public safety under Pasco

County's own rules. According to Pasco County Land Development Code, section 1002, a wireless tower adjacent to a residential zone must meet strict setback requirements to protect our homes. Specifically, unmitigated towers require a setback equal to two times. The tower height from residential property lines. This proposed tower sits directly against our backyards. It completely fails to meet these mandatory safety buffers, placing a massive

commercial structure directly inside the structural fall zone of our residential homesteads. Furthermore, Florida Statute Title 27, Chapters 365, Section 175. And Pasco County Code explicitly state that a new tower should only be built as a last resort. The applicant has a legal burden to prove that they cannot collocate their equipment on existing towers, utility poles, or commercial

rooftops nearby. The applicant has not presented exhausting exhaustive. Engineering proof that has a brand new intrusive tower is the only solution for their coverage gap. We ask the board to hold the applicant to the strict letter of the law and reject this application for failing to exhaust nearby commercial alternatives. Finally, the Pasco County Comprehensive Plan's future land use element mandates neighborhood stabilization and And land use

compatibility. Placing a massive industrial-looking tower directly towering over our beautiful backyards and established generational family homesteads completely destroys the aesthetic integrity and character of our neighborhood. It is entirely incompatible with the surrounding residential zone. Commissioner, the rules in the land development code. Are there to protect the citizens and the homeowners who invest their lives in DePasco

County. This application violates those protections. We ask you to enforce our local codes, uphold the comprehensive plan, and deny this application. And I know every single resident in that area, that land they want to put it on, has peacocks on it. And I can tell you right now, none of them know that this is happening. And that's why I'm here. I'm trying to stop this. Please listen to us. Can I can I get your address again? [address removed]

[address removed]. And I swam in Miss Stockholm's pool that is right right on Laner Road.

Thank you.

There's no else.

Unidentified speakerVoice B

Please. Please. Gabriel Quigley, [address removed]. I don't know my code as well as Miss Krause here, but she is right. No. And now I just would like to say for the record, because I'm standing in front of Peter. That my tax dollars pay, that I don't care if these LLCs get everything above board, I don't care if they make it all pretty and accessible, I don't want to drive by it. The difference between listening

to us and them is that they have money. Thank you.

MarianoChair

Thank you. Anyone else for public comment? Anyone online? No sir. Okay, back to the board?

Starkey

I cannot I cannot find Grace Place. It's after house. Did you say Grace Place? Hmm.

MarianoChair

No we're we're we're done with public comment. No

Starkey

but

MarianoChair

she asked

Starkey

her question. I want to see if it's gonna fall in our backyard, like she said. What what's your address?

Unidentified speakerVoice A

My address is [address removed]. PSMs Place, not Graised Place. And I'm here today on behalf of people who don't have a voice, who aren't here, because I love them and they are my family and my friends. you.

Unidentified speakerVoice C

It shows a 250 foot fall radius um in what looks like improved pasture. Um but you need to hear from the applicant.

Oakley

Okay, the applicant?

Starkey

The towel right down here. That was going.

James Johnston

Hey, good afternoon. James Johnston with Shutz and Bowen 300 South Orange Avenue representing the applicant. Um you know we're in agreement with the staff report, which we think supports this application, along with the county's outside consultant and the planning commission. Um as far as um fall zone, I think we provided a fall zone letter, but I do note that it's a 149-foot tower and it's set back over. Over that well over that from all property lines. But I'm here to answer any questions if you want to have them.

WeightmanVice Chair

I assume every all the proper noticing requirements and everybody in the area was notified with the mail and know that this is a potential.

James Johnston

She lives here. Yeah, I mean we we followed all the counters.

WeightmanVice Chair

Right.

Amy Heiler

Amy told Planning and Development, I can confirm that. Um so at the beginning of this application we did receive various letters of objection. Um through that process, we actually worked with the applicant to um reduce the height and enhance the landscape buffering and as a result those uh letters of opposition people who did previously have opposition are aren't here. So we've worked with them to resolve those issues.

WeightmanVice Chair

Okay. Thank you.

Yeah. To the board.

Starkey

Yeah, it's not gonna fall on her backyard. It's not falling on anyone's backyard. So I just wanted to be sure because that would not be good.

WeightmanVice Chair

Well cell towers are the critical piece of our infrastructure. They're not pretty, but we all have cell phones and computers and iPads and just the way our world communicates and They're just part of our world for now. So with that I move approval. Second.
