Public comment Nancy Hazelwood Northeast Rural Area concerns
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Mar 7, 2024
The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted — it is an image-only scan — so nothing in it is searchable here, but it reads normally.
The county’s minutes for Planning Commission, Mar 7, 2024
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 2m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 100% of 13 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
Mr. Chair, we do have someone signed up to speak during public comment. Okay. for.
All right. Yes, we are. Who's who's here to sign who's here to speak?
Ms. Ms. Nancy Hazelwood is here to speak.
Okay.
Yancy Hayswood, [address removed], a nice place. I hope you all are doing well today. And welcome Mr. Ingle. Um You had something that's now in continuance. I don't want to speak to it, but it raised some issues. It was adjoining or concurrent with the Northeast Rural Area Plan, but there was no transition zone there. So and it's high density. And this is something we've
asked before to be taken into consideration the Northeast Rural area. area plant. It's not going to be good to put high density development next door to the Northeast Rural area plant. That's not going to work. This plan raised another question. What do you do with the traffic? You start putting traffic in the northeast row area plan on our scenic roads that are two lanes because it's not supposed to have that type of vehicle
pressure on it. then that's gonna crash it too. If we don't do something about this soon we will no longer have a rural area plan. Thank y'all.
Thank you, Nancy. Always appreciate your comments.
Okay.
So for those who plan to give testimony today, if you would stand, raise your right hand and be sworn.
Yeah, it's the true cell you got. Yeah.
Very good.
Alright, are you ready, Phoenix?
