Resolution commending Pauline Smith retirement

59:07Thank you. Um Chair, you would like me to go ahead and read? Yes. Okay. Resolution number twenty-two-two one, a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, commending Pauline Smith for over thirty-five years of dedicated service to the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners and congratulating her on her retirement. Whereas in 1986, Pauline Smith began her career with Pasco County. Pauline started serving the citizens as a part-time custodian in the facilities management department. Eventually, Pauline transitioned

59:38into a full-time position, serving as crew leader of the custodial staff within the department. And whereas in 1998, Pauline decided to pursue a new career path and transferred to code enforcement. Pauline served the citizens of Pasco County Administrator. County as a code enforcement officer, becoming Officer Smith. And whereas Officer Smith was responsible for the for the Port Ritchie and the New Port Richey areas of the county. She investigated more than 15,000 complaints and advocated for and fostered better communication between code enforcement

1:00:08and the community. And whereas Officer Smith was the second female code enforcement officer in Pasco County. She became the first female officer to be promoted to field training officer. Then in 2010, Officer Smith became the first female field officer where she was responsible for the training and development of over 27 code enforcement officers. And whereas Officer Smith takes pride in her work and is respected by her peers for her knowledge, skills, and constant desire to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Pasco County. And whereas Officer Smith has been one

1:00:38of the most effective supervisors in the department through the combination of her knowledge, dedication, and passion. She is a true gem, has been an asset to the department, and is an unbelievable friend that will be missed. And whereas after over 35 years of dedicated service, Officer Smith will retire on December 31st, 2021 from the Pasco County Code Enforcement Department as Supervisory Code Enforcement Officer. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida in regular session.

1:01:09And duly assembled, that said board hereby expresses its deepest appreciation to Pauline Smith for over thirty-five years of dedicated services to the citizens of Pasco County and wishes her the best in her retirement. And I think your great participation, your teamwork with with Pat Micah and the whole team together. Um gave us confidence that when we needed to get more code enforcement people that they're gonna get the job done right. So thank you for your tremendous
