Thank you very much. I'd like to welcome everybody today. We're at the Planning Commission and We're appointed by the county commissioners. We meet twice a month. We serve as as a local planning agency and hold public hearing and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners. Recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments. rezoning and conditional use requests. Planning Commission is a final decision making body for special exceptions. Yeah, uh certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard
requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. So if we make a decision today that you have a problem with You do have the opportunity to go to the county commission and appeal your appeal our decision. Anyone is in oper opp opposition to any uh development or code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission Transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. It's important for you to attend the appropriate County
commission and meeting and we have a uh Have the dates available if you don't know what they are. Please feel free to ask uh uh one of the staff members and they can give you those dates.
For those of you who are not familiar with the uh The form of the meeting. We have three sections. We have a where we have requests for continuances. And it's been our custom to approve those staff uh requests if they're from the staff or the applicant. unless they're extenuating circumstances. We have consent items. And those are items that are on the agenda that where we have not received any objection or can or statements of concern. It will go to the consent list um item by item. If
there's something on consent today that you'd like to have it heard or You'd like to speak on Raise your hand when we when we bring it up and we'll pull it from consent. It'll go into the regular items. And those are the items that we'll fully vet. Uh at the end to go through one at a time. And uh applicants. We'll have three minutes to make a presentation. And the uh citizens, the concerned citizens or the questioners will have three minutes to come up and and ask their questions.
We'll try to keep as close to that time schedule as we can once we uh get uh the presentation and the questions, then the applicant will have an opportunity to come up and respond to those questions. Um I think has there anybody ever been a request for additional time?
