Staff announcements, reappointments, hybrid meeting rules

6:45:58So I would love to congratulate uh Jamie Girardi and Peter Hansel for being reappointed to the Planning Commission. So congratulations. Um and also you will have a new member, Mr. Don Anderson, who is the CEO of the Pasco County Homeless Coalition. Um I've worked with Don Anderson throughout the years and he has a um a a a great personality. I think he'll be a good fit in this group, um, very steady.

6:46:28Um I I was mentioning that he reminds me a lot of of the soft spokenness of Chris, how Chris is.

6:46:53continue to to work with Mr. Gerardi and Mr. Hansel and uh have a new addition to to the team who I think will will um will jive really well or gel really well with you. Um David did you want to say something? I think we're gonna talk about also some changes. Okay.

6:47:09Well I was also gonna mention that the Board of County Commissioners is looking to amend their hybrid virtual meeting rules to start allowing The public back into the boardrooms.

6:47:22I wanna be clear though, it it we'd still be operating under a hybrid virtual environment, so We'd still be allowing public comment by email. WebEx, etc. But there would be some limited attendance allowed in the boardrooms. There will be some social distancing requirements. There'll be maximum capacity within the boardrooms. Um the kiosk may still be utilized for overflow. Um or somebody that really wants to be at kiosk. So we're

6:47:53not necessarily removing the participation options that you're using now, but I don't want you to be shocked after May eighteenth when we're gonna start allowing the public. To the boardrooms. Um so that that's currently the plan and that's likely on May fourth.

6:48:20David, did you want to cover a little bit um how things may be different in the in Dade City in the historic courthouse?

6:48:28So Dade City is going to have a smaller capacity. Obviously it's a smaller room. Um so the maximum capacity in that room, I don't remember what facilities recommend, but it's I think only like eighteen people. It's not very many people. So when we get over eighteen people Other people are likely gonna be directed to the kiosk to do their parti their their participation. So You're still gonna be have to be asking when it's a large group, you're still gonna have to

6:48:58be asking the kiosk.

6:49:02There will be some limited amount of people that are allowed in the Bay City boardroom. as well. So for non-controversial items, maybe everybody can fit in the boardroom.

6:49:13You're probably still gonna have Multiple people at the kiosk. Because especially in Dade City because it it's gonna be limited very limited capacity. And the reason for that is just be to maintain social distancing in the audience.

6:49:30Okay, David, does that mean you're gonna you're gonna be joining us again?

6:49:39I I figure if the if the public's allowed in, maybe I should be allowed in too. So Mm-hmm. But I will say the the maximum capacity that we're talking about does not include The Planning Commission members or staff. So we're talking about members of the public.

6:50:03Mm-hmm. Uh just as a a point of uh clarification. If it could be the case that uh if the Planning Commission has any questions for staff following public uh comments. There may be a few things that staff can provide in terms of some of the representations that were made to help clarify.

Um you know, it makes it very difficult for us to prepare appropriately for these, particularly those of us that run companies and have other obligations. So I understand that, you know, this week there was I'm sure there was a lot of back and forth that extenuating circumstances that Didn't do it, but I think it's unfair to us as volunteers. So I'd I'd appreciate consideration of
