Um this morning speaker on Bettmar Acres, uh just for the board's clarification, this is not a tax issue, this is a stormwater utility assessment that Bettmar is uh uh experiencing on their golf course. They have for a number of years. Um and um we dealt dealt with the Bentmar Acre's lawyers
about five years ago and thought the issue was put to bed. Um our position is still that they our code the assessment. Um that they owe us the assessment um because it is a 403, Chapter 403, you stormwater utility, not a tax, not a general special assessment.
But that's you know that our position has been that for some time. They have spoken to both they have spoken to to the previous lawyer that was involved in that position and Ms. Wolf Graham, who is the current lawyer in that position.
I'm not sure that there's anything that we can resolve with them, but

And we're just giving 'em so I get it. I think we should take a look at that because I think if I'm gonna have a golf course it's gonna take stormwater like I want 'em to, like Seven Springs, Timber Oaks used to. Um, it's a benefit to us and We're really trying to tax the ones that don't and all the people around it, the ERUs where they will condensed. They're paying their ERU, so I think I think it's something that she'll take a look at and bring back. Okay.
Some of the issue that we have down there is uh Batmar it's going to the association, the HOA group that looks after the golf course. They're getting that bill, but their members don't want to pay it and the members won't allow 'em to raise their fees for the golf course to take care of that. So it ends up on them all the time and I don't think they end up they have a struggle to get the money up for that. So that's what the issue's been.
Okay. And and and you know what golf courses is are I know elsewhere around the struggle. So I think it's I think it's good to take a burden off 'em if we can. Um and if and again, because they're actually helping the stormwater situation. I don't think we should be taxing them for what they're helping on. But yeah, if you want to bring it back, that'd be great.
