Public comment on Google Chrome agenda transparency

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Mr. Stein Snyder. Now is the time for public comment. Citizens are given an opportunity to comment on any item coming before the board during the post-public comment section. The board also takes public comment on items to be placed on the future board agenda or other business on their purview. Due to COVID-19 operations and to safeguard the well-being and safety of our citizens and staff, today's public comment will be handled differently. First, we will take public comment from those that are pre-registered for a WebEx link and are currently on queue. After we will read into the record public comments, documents, PowerPoints, or videos that have been identified by members of the public to be read out loud and played at the meeting. Finally, we'll

take public comment from those currently Signed up at the kiosk station. Comments are not to exceed three minutes. Um, this new format does not waive the request that when you address the board, comments not be directed personally against any commissioner or team member, but rather directed at the issues. This provides mutual respect between the board members and the public. For WebEx participants and kiosk participants, after stating your name and address for the clerk, the timer will be activated and start a countdown. After two minutes, one people sound, letting you know that only one minute remains. After this time. Is up, two bit beeps will sound indicating the three minutes are up and you should close your comments. Webex participants

will just be disconnected when their time is up and kiosk participants will be asked to move away from the kiosk. Madam Clerk, do we have anybody pre-registered to speak or any emails to read into the record?

Jean Nappe

Victor Rodriguez. Uh [address removed]. Board, I come to you today on behalf of my constituents. Um and and that have reached out to me. Um I just wanted to share uh Ron Our website called statista.com. Statistics. The global and US market share of leading internet browsers of 2019, as of December 2019, Google Chrome accounted

for 47.91% of overall internet browser market share in the United States. Um The the next competitor to Google Chrome. was Apple Safari browser, which you know can only be accessed only through Apple products. That was 36.89% of the market share. As you guys know, uh the meeting agenda was not available to as of recent. And there was on the website, the Pasco County website stated

that Firefox and Internet Explorer was a means of a method to access the agenda items. The agenda items for are the Firefox is 3.98%. And Internet Explorer is 2.36% of the market share in the United States. I come to you guys about transparency. As you know, we have over 43% of our community that is in poverty currently. Um to say that People

probably don't own Apple products. Majority of us here in Pasco is probably a safe thing to say. Um so I just want to come to you guys. Uh if we can get the problem with the Google Chrome fixed, I think it would be a great thing for transparency to.

Thank you for your time.
