Thank you, Chairman More, and hello all fellow commissioners. I am Jean Mathie. And I'm the vice chair of the Commission of the Status of Women. I represent District One. And I'm here on behalf of Cheryl Pollack, who is our chairperson. She is out. With a uh scheduled time off procedure. And I'm here today to present the annual. Um 2020 Work Program Summary.
Of the CSW.
As a reminder, our mission statement, which was developed in 2018. Um Post our mission is to elevate the status of women in Pasco. through the community.
Um With that said, back in June of two thousand nineteen. Um the commission unanimously voted to select domestic violence. as the number one priority for additional work by the commission. And this was tough. elevate a level of awareness In the community. Um And how it affects the women in Pasco.
Um, I'm gonna just highlight some of the things in the report because I know that you have the report available. Throughout the past year, the commission took part in numerous activities to position itself as an organized body of thought leaders around women's issues and improving the well-being of Pasco women. The most successful activities included establishing a working relationship with working women of Tampa Bay. Participation in What
Women Want Expo, which which was held at the Hyatt in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Participation in the community conversation on human trafficking. and hosting a 2020 US Census 101 presentation at our monthly meeting. We have also developed a CSW Informational POM card, which I believe is available to you guys to review. Uh we have also Recently
uploaded that to our Facebook page that we have completed. And we are Gaining momentum. With our Social media. Followers. For the commission.
Um
Also establish some key activities. include the commission provided Recommendations of women in PASCO to be recognized in the resolution for the 100th anniversary. Of women's rights to vote in the United States. And that anniversary is actually coming up, it's August 18th. Um we We had postponed that resolution. I believe it's going to be done a little bit later in the year.
We also had representation at the Pasco Hernandez State College Empower Conference back in March 6.
And then Mike. Recently, um The Pasco County Domestic and Sexual Violence Task Force Force presented. At one of our monthly meetings. They provided a lot of statistics, which is included in. The report. Our um Is there any questions or comments?

Thanks. Thanks for stepping in today. Jean, a question for you. Um There's a lady named Sue Campbell who runs the Rope Center over in Hudson. Um She has a separate building for women. Uh if she has a building that's kind of jointly shared with women over in uh the Hudson area, uh different reasons why they made their as far as being homeless and all. Um, have you ever reached out to her to to come to one of the committees and maybe uh present to you?
Commissioner Oriano, I have not her name. Um I'm Fairly new with the commission. Um I just more in January. So maybe some of the other ladies have, and I'll be sure to bring her new. And um per cause our next meeting, which is in October. I can get a little bit more information from you like on an address and things like that.
