Announcements and Germany exchange
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

What was said
Machine transcription of 3m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 100% of 20 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
I have two quick announcements. Yes, sir. So uh Clerk Nikki officiated the Valentine's Day ceremony at the historic courthouse. It was beautiful. Nineteen couples said I do. Um it's the sixteenth annual, so since we started, um three hundred and twenty three couples have been married over those sixteen years.
You do um renewing of vows 'cause I saw someone doing this somewhere else and and there were people there that were renewing vows.
Yeah we do. Um not this no one signed up this year, but last year we had some. Okay. So it was beautiful, and it was at the Historic Courthouse. So thank you for the use of the grounds. And it's looking nice, the memorial. It's almost done. So and then my second announcement, March 2nd, is Passport Saturday. So this is in our official records in both of the government centers here in West Pasco and Dade City. We open on Saturday, March 2nd. from nine AM to
one PM um for citizens to come and get their passports. So it works really well. Um so if you want to get your kids passport so you don't have to take them out of school, you can bring 'em in on Saturday. So That's it.
C can I come back?
No.
Yeah.
No we We were supposed to be done at three. I know.
I didn't
know. Well you got
it you got an email I made a promise based on what I saw in her book, but I I took the part of Miss Herkey out of that.
You you just you got you you all got an email on Growing Global. So if you know I think we have like three spots left. If you know of a company that you think would be interested in learning how to export, you can forward that email to them. It's coming up on Well, I'll tell you about the our our employees going to Germany. Do you want me to tell you about our employees going to Germany or you want me to wait?
Go ahead.
I'll wait
on you and then I'll
finish. Um We had um two employees two young men come from Germany through uh the New Port Richey Rotary. I think I I talked about them before. One worked at our our vet with our animal services and one worked um at uh at uh Miopta. Um We are now gonna send two young professionals over to Germany through this Rotary Club in Gemersheim, our sister county or friendship county,
whatever we want to call it. I'm very excited that we are gonna have one of our Uh vet text from our animal services all paid Trip to go work in One over there in Gemersheim for three weeks. And then uh one of our s one of our texts from our utilities that went through the AMScales boot camp and got hired by our utilities department. We'll be going Uh over I think
Oh yeah. They haven't picked the animal services one yet, so I don't have a name but We know that which one is going from our utilities department, a twenty year old um young professional and he'll be working for a major company in Germany that does utilities. So this is uh I'm so excited. This is something we want to expand. Uh but we have our first two exchanges happening. That'll probably be the end of May, beginning of June. Isn't that cool? That's good. And thank you to the New Port Richey, they're paying for it. Oh good. Good
deal. That's it?
Yeah.
