Call to order roll call pledge and minutes approval
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

I'd like to welcome everybody today that's here. For our meeting. Uh for those of you who haven't been to these meetings before, I'll give you a brief overview of of what's going to be happening and in what order. Uh we're the planning commission and we're uh appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. We meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold the public hearing and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners. Recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development
code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. It's uh the Planning Commission is the final decision making body. For special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, land development code amendment. a rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission uh
makes a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. Important it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners meeting. For those of you not familiar with the format of the meeting. Uh they are as follows. We have three sections. We have continuances. We have consent agenda and we have regular items. And we'll go through those one at a time on continuances. It's been our custom to approve. It's usually from either the staff or the applicant. Uh it's
been our custom to approve a request for continuance unless there are extenuating circumstances. Uh then we have consent agenda and that's where th those are items where We have not received objections or questions from the uh public or anybody uh uh outside the applicant that uh
We'll go through those one at a time. And as I r as we read through the consent agenda, if there's something on there that Somebody here would like to have heard, please raise your hand. And we'll pull it from the consent agenda for discussion. It'll go on the regular items and that's the final section. And those are items that we will go through uh one at a time. You know, and hear testimony from the applicant and from the uh questioners. Applicants will typically have three minutes.
Mm-hmm. And then questioners will have three minutes to ask their questions. Uh per person. And then uh the res the applicant will have an opportunity to Come back up and respond. Um and they'll have five minutes to do that unless they've requested uh additional time in advance of this meeting. I don't think uh I've had any requests. Have I Mr.
Chairman no request for additional time.
Okay, thank you.
All right. So um
By the way, I'll mention to you that this is a probably a good time to for any of those any anyone here who Has a device like a phone. That might ring. Uh put it on silent, please. So that somebody when they're somebody's up here speaking or talking, asking questions, uh, that they're not interrupted. And uh s and before we start the regular meeting, is there anybody here that is here to speak on something that n is not on today's agenda.
Anybody speak on something not on the agenda? Okay, I see no one. No one's online.
No, sir.
Okay, thank you.
So if you plan to give testimony, which means if you're gonna come up and speak today Um this would be the time I'd needed to stand. Raise your right hand and be sworn. Anyone who speaks needs to be sworn.
Do you swear affirm the testimony you're about to give is the truth so it'll help you back?
This gentleman over here seemed l hesitant.
Were you not gonna tell the truth or the whole truth?
I just want to make sure you are participating.
Okay. All right. I just wanted to know we noticed.
Okay.
