1:23:29On October 25th, we had a uh cleanup out at uh Lacouche. It removed twenty-five point seven five tons of trash was removed from the Lakuchi community. Cleanup on Saturday, October the fifteenth. Uh special thanks to Uh Son so need and for coordinating the event and the County staff, volunteers and area residents that uh participated in making this event a success. Um I

1:23:59think you keep seeing in in all of our districts uh when we have these cleanups at we're getting that kind of tonnage out of there that's just sitting around in those neighborhoods. Another thing I'd like to bring up was the Um On uh on here excuse me, here's some pictures of that cleanup in Lacucci.

We're gonna have a Uh ground breaking, ribbon cutting. of the start of the fallen officer memorial, which we've all been waiting on for many, many years. Um It's finally that time and we're going to move forward with it. Uh it'd be a great Dan Pasco to have that. Started and eventually we'll Have a Ribbon

1:25:19cutting when that a when that's all prepared for for the community. So it's been a long long time happening and it it's great to even be talking about it. I talked to Andrew Baxter today. We've been fighting through just getting it done. So Uh we're gonna have that at eleven o'clock on thir eleven o'clock on Thursday. Oh no I have Montropolitan

1:25:50Well we worked hard on that, but I a friend of mine, uh Randy Blankship helped me Um I'd reached out to Craig Raporn had been held up. They said their funding had quit on um Getting money to help prepare for paying for the memorial and all the construction that has to go in it. And I said, Well How much money you need and His first answer was, oh, fifty or sixty thousand. And Um Come to find out it was it

1:26:20was I said, Well won't you think about and tell me tomorrow what you think it should be? and they came back with a hundred thousand. And uh but they they'd stopped being able to fundraise 'cause we had COVID during that time. I actually asked Jeff about The possibility of me reaching out to People or neighbors and hit in our community and work with us in the county but As Ron Oakley and not as a commissioner. uh Randy and I both were able to successfully get another hundred thousand. And

1:26:50that was bringing it to a head. We had issues with uh products and the same as we have here. With other items we need for facilities and other things that delay of products coming and all has held us up. So now we're gonna break that ground, we're ready to get started. and that will come to fruition and be a great thing. How

1:27:17Good question. I would hope. Yeah. I'd hope it happen in eight months if it takes longer than that. I mean it's we've got the memorial. Do you have your permits? We've got to do the build the base and then have other items come, so Uh

Um As you know Our uh DMO, Florida Sports Coast, Adam Thomas and his team has done an excellent job. working with um the Florida Senior Games and as you saw with was it three years, we have it three years in a row coming up. Um so they need volunteers for those

1:29:18at home. Um December third through eleventh. If you go on the Florida Sports Coast website or the Florida Senior Games website as well.

So December 3rd to 11th, and one of the things, you know, one of the groups of people that are um needing those volunteer hours, a lot of our students, they're looking to get their bright future scholarships. So it's a perfect. Yeah. um for h high school students especially to go out there and gain their hours. So third through the s through the eleventh they need volunteers. 1:30:03Um Well real quick I'll just mention the Human Trafficking Commission for Human Trafficking. Students in the Pasco County schools will be putting together three PSAs to help raise awareness on human trafficking. Um last weekend I did attend the Tunnel to Towers event, which is great because they house and build houses for our gold member families and our wounded veterans. And of course it's right here in Pasco County. They're building the do good community. And lastly

1:30:34I just want to mention And just put on everyone's radar. When we have our youth in Pasco County that wanna play different sports and of course we've all heard we need more fields. When I hear different leagues other than Little League. That would like to be able to utilize our baseball fields and we have travel teams out there and they have to play on men's youth. youth

1:31:05fe um men's softball fields. I find it Upsetting because we need to make sure that all of our youth are able to utilize these fields. And I know a couple years ago when I first came into office, it was a discussion that the little league fields would be writing down and having to rent the fields just so basically we knew which days of the week that the fields were actually being utilized. Use them

1:31:36Instead of blocking out Monday through Friday from six to nine They can say, okay, we're utilizing the fields these specific hours. So maybe Thursday there's an a two hour gap where another youth league can come in and utilize those fields. I think our youth our baseball fields and any youth field needs to be utilized by everyone in Pasco County and not just one group because I feel like we're spending millions of dollars to For one specific league.

1:32:13Very good. observation. So let's I I'll work on moving forward with that as well. Um but just keep an eye out on that because I am gonna do a lot more digging into that situation just to make sure that all kids and all of our youth in Pasco County have a field to play on. Thank you.

1:32:37Saturday was a group of people out there. We took everything from all the ditches along Old Dixie, cleaned it all out. They were very appreciative to have the Stormwater project moving forward. They had a vote of like a hundred and forty seven or eighty seven to seven Some crazy numbers, so it was great. Um our staff did a great job cleaning up at Griffin Park. And we'll have a schedule another cleanup for embassy and Regency Park coming up.
