Pledge of Allegiance and roll call
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Jul 9, 2026
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 4m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 76% of 25 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
So if we could have a moment of silence, stand for a moment of silence and Pledge of Allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Which is one nation under God. Indivisible with liberty.

I'd like to welcome everybody today with the Planning Commission. We're appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet uh twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold public hearing to transmit to the Board of County Commissioners our recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, certain
alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, a land development code amendment. or any amen amendment where we transmit a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it would be important for you to uh attend the Board of County Commissioners meeting. We have those dates available. Those of you are not familiar with the format
of our meetings, uh there are three sections usually, uh con continuances, consent items, and regular items. I I don't know if we have consent any continuance items today, but But uh what we'll do is we'll go through each one and if there's something on there that you would like to have heard on the regular items, please raise your hand. We'll pull it from the consent items and we will uh hear
it under the under the regular item discussion.
Applicants today will have uh five minutes to make their presentation and questionnaires or people here from the public with concerns or recommendations will have uh three minutes to make their presentations and then the applicant will have an opportunity to come back up and and answer many of those questions. Mm-mm. So um
Did everybody hear me okay out there? Okay.
I think and I think we've had uh request for extra time.
Yes, Mr. Chairman item PC thirteen and fourteen we had a request for extra time from the applicant for twenty minutes.
Okay. Okay. So it's a requirement that if there is a request at least twenty-four hours prior to this meeting for extra time and the extra time may be granted. And subject to the approval of the chairman. Th uh this is an opportunity if you're here and you have a a device like a phone that would make noise. Please take a moment to get out of your pocket or your purse, put it on the silent position so we won't disturb anyone. before we start
