County administrator flood insurance and budget survey

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

No. Okay. So that's the regular agenda. County Administrator, any other items?

Mike Carballa

Uh just a couple real quick things uh to note. I received a letter from the State Division of Emergency Management. Uh we were visited by the Office of Flood Plain Management to take a look at our community. I'm happy to report uh that we uh continue to be eligible to participate in the national flood insurance program. So thank you to our floodplain manager, Swan Patel, and a number of other folks that uh helped uh give confidence that uh we're we're doing right by our citizens and managing the floodplain. So that results in insurance breaks on on flood insurance for our citizens. We'll

we'll continue to work towards lowering our CRS ratings to the sweet spots. We're at the sweet spot. We can get one more that that won't cost us much and we're we're pushing for that. Uh, the other thing is you received an email um from uh Chief of Staff regarding the budget survey. So we have launched a budget survey. Again, this is just part of our move to continue to be transparent in the budgeting process with our citizens and just invite them to uh participate in a little bit of budgeting priorities, just

uh just to give us information on. on on things that we see out there in the world. Um just uh make sure that we're we're spending their tax money uh in the places that they think that we should be doing. That's all. Okay.
