What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Some of it's uh we that you would help get remarkable like

what's your individual.

Charles GreyChair

Okay, I'd like to call the meeting to order. We'd stand for a moment of silence in the Pledge of Allegiance.

I please lead it to

the fight of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Charles GreyChair

All right, Madam Clerk, could you do the roll call?

Unidentified speakerVoice B

Yeah.

Jon Moody

Here. Here. Here.

Charles GreyChair

I'm here. And the proof of the right-of-way. Please.

All right. Thank you very much.

Um do I have a motion to approve minutes, please.

Unidentified speakerVoice B

Uh motion to approve the minutes from the July meeting. Second.

Charles GreyChair

Motion and second any further discussion on the motion. If not, all in favor signify by saying aye. Aye. Both, like, sign?

Okay. Motion carries. So I'd like to welcome everybody this morning or this afternoon actually. We're the Planning Commissioner Weight appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold public uh hearings and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments. Zoning, rezoning, and conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making

body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in any is in opposition to any Land Development Code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners.

Mm-mm. For those of you who are not familiar with the um

They play the uh way we normally do these meet meetings, the um there are basically three segments. There's continuances, there's a consent agenda, and then there's the regular items. Continuances are in in the event the uh staff or the applicant has requested a continuance for any reason, it's been our custom to Approve those unless there are extenuating circumstances. Consent will go through the consent agenda on an item by item basis. If there's something on consent that you'd like to have heard separately, raise

your hand as I read them and uh we'll pull it from consent for discussion.

And then once we're through consent, anything remaining on consent will be voted on all at one time. Then we have the regular items and those are the items that are either poll confirmed consent Or have been placed on regular uh Um And we will go through those uh items each individually and uh we'll have an opportunity for the applicants to make their presentation. Anybody who has any concerns or objections have an opportunity to speak or ask questions.

Applicants will be limited to five minutes for their presentation. And uh the questionnaires will be limited to three minutes each unless you've asked for additional time in advance, which I don't believe anybody has. Is that right, Liam? No extra time? Okay.

So

For all of all of us who are here today, this is a good opportunity if you have a phone to put it on a silent position so we won't interrupt anybody that that may be speaking. And um Before we start the regular meeting, if there's anybody here to speak on an item that's not on today's agenda, this is your opportunity to get up and uh bring it to our attention. Is there anybody in that category? Is there anybody uh on WebEx for that?

Liam Devine

We don't have anybody on WebEx Chair.

Charles GreyChair

All right, and I don't see anybody in the audience.

So anybody who plans to give testimony today, if you'll stand, raise your right hand and be sworn.

All right, thank you.

Okay. William, are we ready?

Christopher Poole

We're ready.

Charles GreyChair

I'll beat our Dari uh Terry.
