County administrator extension awards and storm preparation
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

All right. Mr. Bowes.
Yes, sir. I'll I'll start with some good news. Our extension office won some Tampa Bay Times People's Choice Awards this year. Uh they won the award for the Best Festival and they were the silver winner for the San Antonio plants plant sale. So start with that. I'll follow it up with keep an eye on the on the Atlantic and the Caribbean right now. We have a storm brewing out there. We're in the cone. Of course we're several days out. It's Florida. It's August. We're in the height of hurricane
season. Be prepared. Be ready. EM's watching it, they're already spinning up with public works to make sure we're watching the pipe uh and where we are in our stormwater gauges and stuff. So we're preparing, we're ready. If we need to open up more sandbag locations, we will. Just uh keep that in the back of your mind. It is out there and there's one behind it, but it's that time of year. Next forty-five to sixty days. That's what we do here. So that's all I have, sir.
Okay.
Thanks,
sir.
Uh I don't have anything additionally. We'll put the resolution back on for you to discuss at your next meeting. Um and I appreciate your attendance in the litigation assessment meeting so that we can get some direction.
Thank you. Good. Thank you.
