Moore reports hockey tournament and census
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Commissioner Moore.
Thank you, Madam Chairman. I think one day when you s when you see a um lifted July truck, you'll see Commissioner Oakley drive up an electric vehicle at that time.
You won't see that.
Well once they make 'em in a duly uh big
hundred miles there's it'll usually give me one.
Okay, just two quick quick two quick notes. Um Isabel Cup was at Advent Health Center Ice during that the was the last week in a march. Advent Health Center Ice hosted the Premier Hockey Federation, Isabel Cup. That's the championship for women's for health professional hockey. So pretty, pretty cool stuff. It was actually on ESPN two and then also in T SN which is out of a out of Canada with their obviously sports networks there. Um they did a live shot of the building. quite a few times and they mentioned Wesley Chapel on a pretty consistent basis throughout their broadcast.
So congratulations to Gordy, George, and Pauline and on the entire Evan Health Center ICE team. And that's another great reason why we're called Florida Sports Coasts. And just one other quick thing: census estimates for July 1st of 2021. There was a new census population estimate that I saw last week. Estimated Pasco County population for July 1st of 2020 actually at 584,067. So I think it's still an undercount, but closer to what some of the past numbers and projections they
showed. I just wanted to mention that because there's times on a pretty good Consistent basis when we'll have consultants and some team members and stuff that'll come up and those their numbers are somewhere like the five thirty still. But um census came out recently and said no we're five uh we're five eighty-four. So let's I want to just make sure we're keeping up with those numbers. So when we're looking at um what we're doing here in the county, uh we have the uh appropriate uh census numbers. So that's it for me.
Uh Commissioner Fitzpatrick is not here, so um Dan Biles will come back to her when she comes back. Oh, there she is.
