Call to order pledge and minutes approval

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

All right. Thank you very much.

And we have minutes uh to either approve or not approve?

Unidentified speakerVoice B

Yeah Mr. Chairman there there are minutes from the January seventh meeting. Um during that meeting there was quite a lengthy discussion on item A P eight Regarding Saddlebrook. Um I'd like to ask if Board Records could relook at the the motion and the discussion at the end of the of the minutes. I think they got the motion correct, but There was quite a bit of discussion and we even had two members of the board or of the commission vote against the item. And I think there's

some more explanation that can be added to that motion and what was actually voted on. So There was there was discussion in particular about when the item comes back for the M P U D there'd be more detail included for areas one and two I believe and Um if you can just relook at that and if we can bring those back, uh that was I'd like to make a motion for that to come back. It was three and four. Okay. So areas three and four and okay.

GreyChair

Okay, so we have a motion um to table it or come back. So do we have a second? Any further discussion on the

motion? Just to does board records need anything additional information to

Unidentified speakerVoice B

It's item A P eight.

And I again I don't I don't think the motion's wrong. I just think there's more detail in there and just have record of that would be a would be a good idea.

Jim Fernella

Just care about it.

GreyChair

Okay. So we have a motion and a second. Further discussion? If not, all in favor signify by saying aye. Aye. Opposed, liked, sign. Motion carries.

All right. So I'd like to welcome everybody today. I'm going to give you some information about the meeting and how it's going to proceed. We're the planning commissioner. We're appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold public hearing and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendment amendments, land development. Development recommendations, land development code amendments, rezoning to conditional

use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone's in opposition to any development. code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners meeting. Those

of you not familiar with the format of the of the meetings, we have three sections. We have continuances, we have consent, and we have regular items. Uh continuances are typically either the staff or the applicant has requested a continuance for any number of reasons. It's been our tradition to approve those requests unless there are extenuating circumstances. Uh we have a consent uh agenda uh section. Some of these items uh may be on

consent agenda where we haven't had any objections from the public or the staff. Those items will be gone through one at a time. If there's something on the consent agenda that you'd like to have discussed today as we go through, then raise your hand and then we'll pull it off consent, put it on the regular items. And uh if it stays on consent, it'll all be voted on at one time and and And we'll move on to the regular items for discussion. And uh those are items that are not either on consent or on on

uh or have not been continued. Applicants um will have three minutes to make their presentation and uh cons concerned citizens will have three minutes to state their concerns, and following the presentation uh of objections, the applicant will have five minutes to respond to the concerns. Um there may have been and I think there was today a request um before the meeting for extra

time. Uh I think on one of the items.

Denise

That's correct, Mr. Chair. It's on item PC ten. Um Martha Jo Joan Wood Hinman uh request for ten minutes time.

GreyChair

Okay. And uh so we have that on the record. Uh let me just say that this is a good time to any of you who have phones, which is probably most of most of you, please put it on the silent position or turn it off so that we don't disturb anybody that's trying to give uh give information. And uh Also before we start the meeting, um we want to give anybody that's here for something that's not on today's agenda the opportunity
