What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

The source document

The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Jun 6, 2024

The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted — it is an image-only scan — so nothing in it is searchable here, but it reads normally.

Approved minutes

The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.

Um so I'd like to welcome anyone here today for the first time for the Planning Commission and uh we're appointed by the County Commission. We meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we uh hold public hearing and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning and conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative

standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone's in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's appro appropriate for you to attend the uh uh appropriate uh County Commission meeting and we have those dates available if you don't know what they are. For those of you who are not familiar

with the format of the meetings, they are as follows. We have three sections, continuances, consent, and regular items. We may have items on today's agenda that are The requested and suggested for consent either by the staff or the applicant. It's been our custom to approve requests for continuance unless they're extenuating circumstances. And then we have consent items, those are items where we've not received any letters or notice of objections to the application.

And those items will come up, we'll go through those one at a time. If there's something on consent that That you'd like to have heard today or should have to be spoken about, raise your hand and we'll pull it from consent, and we'll add it to the regular items. Those are the items that are not placed on consent or not continued and will be fully heard today. Applicants will have uh three minutes to make their presentation, and uh questioners will have uh three minutes to Ask their questions

if they have any. And then the applicant will have an opportunity to come back up and try to answer any questions that were raised. Um If there's been a request at least twenty four hours before this meeting in writing for additional time, that time may be granted and I don't think we have any requests or do we?

Denise

We do Mr. Chair for item PC eight you have granted fifteen uh I'm sorry twenty minutes of time.

Charles Grey

Okay. All right, good. All right.

This is a good time before we start the meeting to if you have your phone with you or some device that makes noise, please put it on the silent position so that we don't interrupt the speakers.

And before the uh before we start the meeting Um I'd like to uh give anyone here that's here to speak on something not on today's agenda to come up and uh tell us what you're here to speak about, listen to it, see if we can help you. Mm is there anyone here to speak on something not on today's agenda?

Okay. That being said, what I'd like to do is um anyone who does plan to come speak, uh whether you're an applicant or attendee, please uh stand and raise your right hand if you plan to speak. I'm gonna swear you in.
