Whereas the health and well-being of all Pasco County citizens are of paramount importance to the prosperity and vitality of our communities. 41:35developmental disorders, and other adverse outcomes impacting countless lives in communities. NRAS, about one in every 100 children born nationwide, are adversely affected by prenatal alcohol or drug exposure. NRAS National Alcohol and Other Drug-related Birth Defects Awareness Wreak. is an annual observance aimed at raising public awareness about the risks associated with substance use during pregnancy and promoting healthy pregnancies and babies. 42:05Substance Addiction Prevention, ASAP, Substance Exposed Newborn Newborn Committee aims to raise awareness and provide resources on alcohol and other drug related birth defects as Florida reported nine hundred and thirty four cases of neonatal. Abstinence Syndrome, NAS in twenty twenty one. And whereas the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners recognizes the importance of education, support, and resources in preventing alcohol and other drug related birth defects,

42:36and aims our commitment To the health of mothers, infants, and families within our community. And RAS it is critical for healthcare providers, families, educators, and community organizations to collaborate in disseminating information and resources to prevent substance abuse during pregnancy, supporting affected families, and advocating for policies that promote maternal and health and child health. ANRAS, through collective efforts, we can decrease the prevalence of alcohol and other drug-related birth defects and ensure a brighter and healthier

Then all of a sudden they find find out they're pregnant and How they manage that situation. situation and you know they're very vulnerable folks out there. So thank you for your work and dedication to that segment of our population to help them through to become a better person, hopefully a successful parent, and that they can teach their kids, hey, you can have some challenges in life, but we can get over it and have a really good life

Uh the drugs nowadays are just so lethal, uh if they even make it alive, uh to go through and go through what they're doing. So we greatly appreciate all your work you're doing. I think you know this council or this commission Strongly put the opioid money where we thought in place. So there's more coming too. So we'll keep the resources going by keep up the great work that this was designed to go do. So thank you all.
