Call to order and rezoning procedures

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Good afternoon, everyone. I would like to call back to order the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners meeting of January 12th, 2021. I would like to remind everyone present to please silence all electronic devices and mute your microphones. Uh now it's time for Proceed with the public hearing agenda. There are no ordinances on the agenda. So now we will Proceed with procedures of

rezoning. Um Mr. Steinsteiner, please review the procedures and zone.

Mr. Chairman, I'll be happy to there are two rezoning agendas, regular and consent. Staff will present each application to the Board of County Commissioners. If SLA staff or planning commission has recommended approval and there is no opposition, the application will be considered by the board without further presentation. If staff or planning commission has recommended denial, or if there is opposition to the application, the applicant will be given five minutes for presentation. The opposition will be given three minutes for each individual or five minutes for

a group representative, and the applicant will be given three minutes for rebuttal. Any individual disagreeing with Staff or Planning Commission recommendation, or anyone wishing to object to any condition. of the rezoning may at this time request the petition be pulled from the consent agenda, in which case that application will be heard under the regular agenda later on during the meeting. Otherwise, all rezoning applications on the pl on the consent agenda will be approved by a single motion and vote. If you wish to speak to any

petition, please give your name and address and whether or not you've been sworn for the record. These are quasi judicial public hearing. The law in Florida is that mere public support or opposition of an application is insufficient for this board to take action. Please limit your comments to those criteria found within the Board's Land Development Code.

Ron OakleyChair

Now we have to swear them in?

Madam Clerk, can

Ron OakleyChair

you

Unidentified speakerVoice A

swear that

Ron OakleyChair

anyone that's gonna speak to any of the public items needs to be sworn in at this time?

Kathryn StarkeyVice Chair

Right. Um I will admit.

Unidentified speakerVoice A

Yes. So we would have people on WebEx that are the applicants team that would need to need to be sworn in and there may have some been somebody who who has shown up at the kiosk. I was just thinking you don't have anybody on WebEx, right?

Kathryn StarkeyVice Chair

Nobody's on WebEx. I have no one on WebEx.

Ron OakleyChair

Okay. Uh is there anyone at the kiosks?

Kathryn StarkeyVice Chair

There's no one at the kiosk at this time.

Unidentified speakerVoice A

No one out the key X. Okay. So when the applicant we may want to do swear when the applicant's team shows up when WebEx version the one

Ron OakleyChair

so the first item's P eighty one.

Unidentified speakerVoice A

But Items on consent. Or I'm sorry, that oh that doesn't need to be continued on record, correct?
