1:27:17one? I was uh happy to um of course attend the NACO conference in Tampa and um Mike Carbala came and attended my um the session.

1:27:29I heard your session went very well.

1:27:30Yes, those are uh it was very interesting. It was um the the lady next to me is like the number two person at NASA at the Kennedy Space Center and um female engineer is always fun to see someone achieve success at that level and the gentleman next to her is the head of um I don't remember quite his title but he's with Lockheed Martin and um and and uh we talked about workforce and manufacturing and I think uh we had a really good session at the end there you can see Tom

1:28:01Madano was there um speaking about AMP skills for workforce development and we had a packed room so um it was a good conference it was great to showcase our city the weather held out Really well and um a little hot but I think everyone had a really uh great time. Um Sonia, I just sent you some pictures.

1:28:23Okay, so this is uh Wavy Edge um from the storm. As you guys know, this is our trouble spot in the Trinity Thousand Oaks area. Um Got a little nervous. I was down there yesterday and the residents were Uh Get in touch with me. Um it got within eight feet of that one house that backs up to that pond on Little Road where we had those pumps are there again. But um Jason um Jason's here, Jason and I were communicating and

1:28:53they were able to uh open the gate out there. Commissioner Mariano if you remember all the BMPs, BMP one, because it was sh it was closed. Um And we're gonna talk about this after. Uh but for some reason during the heavy rain event It was thought that we needed to close it and not open it. Um which runs backwards from what I remember with all our task force.

1:29:17We changed that years ago because it was set up that way, but we o said that doesn't make any sense. We haven't changed it so.

1:29:21Yeah, so um so they did open it yesterday and the did you see the next picture? Um Then you'll see uh I just got this this morning. Um it went down. Oh, you didn't get it? Okay, so it it that water is mostly gone. So thank you so much, Jason. Um th these folks were having heart attacks last night, but especially that house that's over there on the right, they they get water in it all the time, but they escaped um Having water in their house.

1:29:58This is where we have the pumps on either side of Little Road by Generations Church and right next to this pond. I did take a picture of it on Little Road and we have buried a line and I was asking for the pumps to have little pump houses on it so it would be. Leaving two pumps permanently sitting on the side of the road. That we actually have taken the pumps away. um what they said a couple meetings ago and but we brought them back. Um it's a it's a very challenging area. Um

1:30:29It's the whole community is built fifteen inches too low. It's a long story.

1:30:35Yeah, but um We haven't had water in the cul-de-sac in over five years, so this is the first time I've seen it come back. Um I think uh they did draw down the water ahead of time. I'd love to know how much, you know, I I want to meet with the our staff just to go over what we did here and make sure that we're on top of it so we don't get this um Again, it was starting to come up in other areas um in

1:31:05the community as well. And they just had so much trauma here that they had they had a lot of anxiety. Two of these houses have their own two of these houses actually have their own pumps going and they're pumping from their backyards into the cul-de-sac to keep them their houses from going underwater. The one on the left and then the that white house over there has had their own pump going as well. So um Just a trouble. Oh you can see. You can see the pump he didn't use it, but you see on the right hand side there

1:31:35the blue The little blue p uh line. That's his pump. Um, but they try very hard to keep the water out of their houses, so with their own plugs.
