4:51None of us has seen a disease quite like COVID-19 before. But as your County Health Department, protecting the public's health is what we do, so we know it's up to us to be a leader in the fight against this deadly virus. The incredible people who make up the health department have been on the front lines throughout this pandemic. Providing guidance and vital information to the public, offering drive-up testing throughout the county, performing contact tracing to slow the spread, doing whatever it takes to defend against the coronavirus. For

5:21our dedicated staff, that means working long hours, being in harm's way, sharing responsibilities, juggling work and family, and they do it all selflessly and with a smile, because they care about you, about me, about our community. COVID-19 may be with us for a while, but as long as it's a threat, our team will be there fighting back. Because nothing is more important to us than your health.

5:55When I spoke to the officials here at the Ron Scene before I had arrived, they indicated that at least the winds were clocked at sixty miles an hour that that came through. Some of the damage that had occurred it ripped the roof right off the entire facility. Screws and all just ripped it out. Destroyed the carports, any attachments, sheds, snap trees. So that was substantial damage for sixty mile an hour wind, so This one here was rather close. As you can see it removed it, it removed the entire roofing

6:25system but left the insulation. And that's what saved his structure actually from getting substantial damage. Right. They have a tarp now to secure it. The insulation, as I indicated, stayed intact, but the remainder of the roof and carboard has been placed in the backyard.

6:51And I walked out op tried to open the sunroom door. And the rain was going this way. So I shut the s uh sunroom door. Step back a few peat feet and it went Pop. One big boom. That was

7:06it. We realize that the winds may pick up tomorrow, so we'll be back out here again, checking the structures again to make sure everybody's safe. But this one here we'll keep an eye on just to make sure it's uh it's safe for the occupants to be inside.

While many of you have been staying at home helping stop the spread of COVID-19, we've been using this unique time working in all our parks to enhance your experience. Let's take a look. On your next visit to J.B. Starkey Wilderness Park, you can walk the new shell path leading to the beautiful new Birdblind. And in Key Vista Nature Park, you'll see how grant funding made it possible to protect the gopher tortoises as we wrapped up this important habitat

11:31restoration project. You'll also notice big improvements at the Pet Cemetery in Land O' Lakes, where our team has worked to spruce up the space, resetting headstones and removing debris. We've knocked one out of the park for our athletes with major improvements to baseball, softball, and soccer fields in several of our county parks. And our team members are taking a paintbrush to almost everything, including picnic tables, concession stands, even our rec centers. there is no doubt that, from trimming

12:01trees and repairing fences, To pressure washing. and building new gardens and playgrounds. You will see big changes on your next visit. And a huge thank you to our parks team for stepping up to help the children of frontline workers by hosting a critical day camp when they had no other place to go.
