What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Um I would like to say that uh Sally, we're so delighted that you're here. Um You know, l last week we had the Development Services Town Hall meeting. Uh not sure what was gonna happen, et cetera. We had a lot of A lot of positive impact, but um I think Sally did a great job presenting. Uh Dan didn't misspeak whatsoever. I said that jokingly, Dance just let the meeting run and said let the meeting go. So Dan, thank you thank you very much for agreeing to this immediately before I even talked to Sally, before she even came aboard. Uh but Sally, thank you for

being willing to actually listen to the folks. I think you did a great job presenting what development services is, and then the way you took the feedback, the way you took it through, and the way you're going to reach back to people. Everybody that I talked to was delighted with it. So I want to thank you for running such a great meeting. participating in a great meeting all the way through uh the feedback Yeah, positive, but it was always Done in a way I think everyone was very professional. They've got their points made and now Sally's got some some good ideas to to go forward to improve development

services. So again, thank you very much for that. Uh I would like to add one more thing. Skollop Drive, uh that's a house that was a meth house that burnt down over in Gulf Highlands. Uh we had like a grappling truck out there when we did the cleanup months ago. Uh the homeless keep going back there. And I'm I'm delighted to say that they finally got the approval to go forward to tear that house down. They're in the permitting process right now. So when that house goes down, what it means to the area is not only does a negative uh place go down, but

it's actually going to enable our staff to go out there and put that ver very much needed collapsed pipe on Skollop Drive going in there, that will help with the flooding in that area. And Mike, I want to just I'm going to reach out to you again. At Gulf Islands we're going to talk about expanding the pond and clearing out the debris that's really been accumulating for all these years with with lack of maintenance. But your idea of taking on Ashwood Drive to get that pipe working up has been working fantastic. So I think between these two things here, expanding that pond, cleaning that out a bit, Uh I think the people in Gulf Islands are in great shape. So thank

you. That's all I have.
