44:01So as the board is aware, we took over control of the Pasco County Atention Center in October of this year. And as such, in order to alleviate the uh span of control as well as just uh numerous personnel administrative issues, we have uh we've determined that uh the need for a public safety branch is necessary. And so, as such, with the public safety branch, we uh would need to assistant county administrator to uh administer the programs under the uh under under that branch. And

44:32so um over the past couple of months we conducted a national search. Uh our human resources department uh vetted our candidates and uh we we had a quite a quite large pool of of qualified candidates. And we ended up narrowing it down to about four finalists. And those those finalists, of course, met with Myself, uh various members of the team, department directors, uh as well as stakeholders in in the various in the various departments. Uh I am uh happy to propose

45:02to you uh requesting confirmation of Mr. John J. Murphy to be our next assistant county administrator for public infrastructure. I'm sorry, for public uh public safety, excuse me. Um he has decades of military and local government. Experience, including a balanced public service, public safety administrative portfolio. More importantly, he shares our leadership philosophy here at the county, and I have a lot of confidence in his ability to do great things with this new public safety branch that we are bringing back. He's also a holds a master's

45:32of public administration with a concentration in criminal justice from Marywood University. And he is a credentialed ICMA manager and also serves the public. on ICMA's Veterans Advisory Board. With that I present to you Mr. John J. Murphy.

46:01It's uh uh uh an honor to be here. Uh yes, it was a uh very thorough search and uh I I got to meet a lot of the staff. Uh I think there was probably over twenty five that were part of the process. So I'm honored to uh be selected and join this team and and help uh move the county forward, especially as you're taking over a brand new uh uh gel operation that's uh critical. and uh

46:31public safety is important and and I've met at least uh half a dozen of the fire department leadership team and and uh looking forward to working with them as well.
