Resolution number 23190, a resolution by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners thanking the Pasco County Airport Zoning Commission for their dedication and service. If members of the representatives could come forward. Whereas on June 6, 2017, the Pasco County Commissioners, pursuant to Chapter 333, Florida statutes establish the Airport Zoning Commission to review and make recommendations to the Board regarding

airport zoning and land use compatibility regulations as required by Chapter 333 to be adopted by the Board. And whereas the Airport Zoning Commission was initially composed of Nathan Coleman as the representative of the Zephyrhills Municipality. Airport, Dennis Baker of Tampa North Aero Park, and Spencer Brass of Pilot Country Airport, all of which are privately owned public use airports. And whereas the Airport

Zoning Commission first met on November 15, 2017, and whereas on October 12, 2022, the board expanded the Airport Zoning Commission. To include Jim Bond as representative of Hidden Lake Airport, a privately owned private use airport. And whereas, using their experience as pilots and airport managers, the members reviewed drafts of proposed regulations and provided comments to the county. And whereas the work of the commission spanned

multiple years during which the Airport Zoning Commission held numerous meetings. Workshops and two public hearing. And whereas, because of the expertise and dedication of the members, Pasco County staff was able to draft well-thought-out and appropriate airport zoning and land use compatibility regulations specific to Pasco County. Inconsistent with Chapter 333. And whereas the Airport Zoning Commission completed its work on May 15, 2023,

and made its final recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners to adopt the proposed airport zoning and land use compatibility regulations. Now therefore be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, that said board hereby thanks Nathan Coleman, Spencer Brass, Jim Bunn, and Dennis Baker for their outstanding service to the county by using their expertise and knowledge to assist the county in developing the airport zoning and

land use compatibility regulations. Done and resolved in regular session with quorum president voting this fifth day of September 2023.

Well, um I know this was a lot of hard work and but it was necessary to protect our citizens and our investments and um I am um just grateful for all the time you guys put in to help make this successful. It's it's it's uh something that I think we're a little behind on, and I'm I'm glad that we we have it now. Excellent. Thank you so much for all the time you put in. And to our staff as well. They've worked very hard on this one.
