1:10:33Patriot Service Dogs trains high quality service dogs for veterans without charge to assist those veterans struggling with a range of issues, including P uh PST PTSD, brain injuries, and mobility loss, and whereas in 2011, Patriot Service Dogs began the WOOF Prison Program at Lowell Correctional Facility, a program in which hundreds of female inmates have trained service dogs

1:11:03for military veterans, and whereas Patriot Service Dogs relies on volunteers to raise And train puppies for between 18 months to two years before the dogs begin their specialized training. And whereas in 2022, Patriot Service Dogs became an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International, a leading authority in the assistance dog industry, and won the Defender Service Award, which recognizes a charitable organization for For

1:11:33extraordinary service of work, and whereas Patriot Service Dogs values the life of each individual and works hard to improve the lives of veterans and help them with a sense of independence. And whereas Patriot Service Dogs has successfully placed over 50 dogs with veterans, and whereas Patriot Service Dogs donated an emotional support dog, Elvis, To the Pasco County Fire Rescue Team that will be able to give hope and build resiliency for the Pasco

1:12:04County fire rescue family. And whereas Elvis will assist in migrating negative symptoms. It will assist with mitigating negative symptoms and bring a positive memory to firefighters following a traumatic event and will provide a catharsis for fire rescue personnel during post-incident stress diffusing. And whereas Elvis joined the Pasco County Fire Rescue on August

1:12:349, 2023, where he has been benefiting the over two uh I'm sorry, over eight hundred member team and whose presence is appreciated and enjoyed. Now therefore be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, that the said board hereby recognizes Patriot Service Dogs and thanks them for their donation of Elvis to the Pasco County Fire Rescue Team.
