County administrator Ridge Road and permits

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

a a just a just different timeline for both of those. And they're still on schedule to have everything else done later this year. Uh this late summer, fall for that piece, right? Then they're working to Sun Lake and then Yeah, hopefully we will be able to go out to bid later this year on all the way to 41. So um that that'll depend on whether or not we get part of the legislative ask uh to help accelerate that piece. Um So that's that. Um if you

wanna know I got some Into your permit numbers. If you want some G Wiz facts, we also issued almost 9,000 single-family home permits. This year. So that's fifty six percent above Twenty twenty. Double twenty nineteen.

of the tight. I just see that these are these are post-crash records because we don't have necessarily clean data from the pre-08-09 crash. So it, you know, I don't want to compare it to that. Um commercials up 20%. That's good. Almost 700 commercial permits. New construction. Construction. These are new construction numbers. And keep in mind, you know, we talked six thousand or nine thousand single family, six hundred, seven hundred commercial permits. Building construction did sixty four thousand total permits last year. Which was up twenty

percent. So the new stuff is only about ten to fifteen percent of their total workload. And most of that n total workload now can be done online as we went to the new portal in December. Most of permits can be submitted online and you and you get them relatively quickly. So that's Almost four billion dollars in total value. So that's 20 uh 21. And yes, if you thought they were busy, they're busy. And by the way, planning's workload is double what it was 12 months

ago. So more is coming. Uh so that's that's that. Uh we talked to Richard Rode and then um you know Ralph's here if you want to talk to him, but otherwise I think we'll we can finish the miscellaneous business and yeah. Okay. Um
