P69 utility easement vacation for culverse restaurant
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Board of County Commissioners, Oct 24, 2023
The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted — it is an image-only scan — so nothing in it is searchable here, but it reads normally.
The county’s minutes for Board of County Commissioners, Oct 24, 2023
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 3m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 96% of 28 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
Thank you. Uh next item. Two sixty nine. Um sixty nine, yes, P sixty nine.
P sixty nine was advertised in the Tampa Bay Times October fourth and October eleventh, twenty twenty three.
Good afternoon. My name is Leanne McDonald with Real Property and Planning. Uh the real property team has received a petition to vacate a utility and drainage easement filed by SH seven L L C The purpose of this vacation is to develop a new culverse restaurant and retail business. As part of the approval site, the petitioner will relocate the drainage easement and provide the county with a replacement access and drainage
easement over the new pond. There were no objections to this petition and the team recommends approval.
Okay. Any discussion?
There is no one signed up for this item.
No one signed up. Does anyone in the audience wish to speak to this item?
Who doesn't want a culverse?
Seeing no one, we close public comment.
Move to approve T sixty nine. Second.
Got a motion and a second by roll call vote.
District one, Commissioner Oakley.
Aye.
District two, Commissioner Weightman. District three, Commissioner Starkey. District four, Commissioner Bradford.
Hi. Disture five,
Chairman Mariano.
Motion passed 40.
I kinda have a question though. Okay, a question. After I went ahead and approved it. So we have new sighting standards? Um where's Terry? So will this culverse be
this you didn't approve of culverse. You
vacated a utility. But I'm given the opportunity to build a culver culverse. And I'm giving you a approved the code. I can rescind it.
Um not by yourself. So Terry Terry didn't have to be a good thing Well don't we I'm just asking.
Well well. Maybe by giving them this land it makes it even easier to have the new sighting, the better sighting.
What's the therapy toast
more? Yeah, it's not really it's it's probably out of place. When they come in.
They
haven't come in yet. Yeah, this is one of those situations where the actual new design is better, I think, for everyone involved. Um the county for the uh the stormwater and everything. It was just the easement was in an awkward location. Um and there were it was just making the property uh difficult to develop. So uh this is I think is a win-win for everybody.
Yeah. We need to look at that for that um old fire station again on Massachusetts. Agreed. Okay. True. Thank you. But he might have a question.
Oh, okay.
