call to order pledge and roll call
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Dec 19, 2019
The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted — it is an image-only scan — so nothing in it is searchable here, but it reads normally.
The county’s minutes for Planning Commission, Dec 19, 2019
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 4m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 84% of 25 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
Okay, I I think we're ready. So we'll call the meeting to order. We'll stand for a moment of silence and pledge of allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands one nation, from a God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Thank you for coming and happy holidays. Everyone?
Uh wanna have the roll call?

Sorry about that. No problem. Okay. I'll let it slide.
You give us a pass, huh? Okay.
Okay, so we're the Planning Commission and we meet here uh Twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold uh public hearing hearings and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations. on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. Planning Commission and the final decision making body for special exceptions, certain appeals. variance requests and certain alternative standard requests. However, Uh final decisions
may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, plan development code. amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to Attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners. Uh for those of you who are not familiar with the uh the meeting uh how how we go with ha handle the meeting. We have um really three sections, continuances
consent agenda and regular items. Uh we have a very brief meeting it looks like today and uh I think do we have everything on consent today?
Um at this point in time everything is on consent. Um there might be when I call PC two, there might be someone who may want to speak on the item.
Okay. So uh We don't have any requests for continuances. Uh we do have consent items and we have a Potentially have some regular items. So um The uh applicants will have three minutes to make their presentations. Anyone who has questions would have three minutes to ask questions. And then the uh r uh applicant would have an opportunity to come back up and answer those questions. So um I don't think we've have had a request for extra time.
That's correct.
Okay. And uh So this is a good time if you um Uh if you haven't done so, it's a good time to put your phone on the silent position. I'll do the same.
And uh
