Citizens are given an opportunity to comment on any current or future agenda item coming before the board and on any other business under the board's purview. Today's public comment will be handled as follows. First we will take public comment from those who are here in person. Then we will take public comment from those who are pre-registered for WebEx Link and are currently on queue. We request that when you address the board, comments are not directed personally against a commissioner or team member, but rather directed at the issues. This provides mutual respect between
the board and members and the public. After stating your name and address for the clerk, a three minute timer will be activated. Hello, my name is Dylan Rich. I'm 29 years old. I was born and raised in Newport Ritchie. I'm here today to speak on the further development of Anclo Beach. Growing up in Newport Ritchie, like many other longtime residents of the area, we would take frequent trips to Anclo Park. Fishing trips, birthday parties, family outings, things you would typically see many other families enjoying at Anclo Beach on any given day.
Now some years that have passed, and I've been given the wonderful opportunity to make new memories there of my own children and family, to share with them the peace of Old Pearl Forduck Preserve. I was intended at Anqua Beach Park. A coastal park such as this is probably one of the few unique features that Pasco County has left to offer. One of the few things that separates itself from the chaos of theme parks and cheap novelty souvenir shops. I honestly can't say I'm surprised to hear of the interest that And close projected development. However, I am surprised to hear his approval and how little residents have been
made aware of his planning and approval. I'm not against progress. I'm against construction of a project on preserved parkland that will draw excessive traffic, boating crowds, noise and exhaust fumes. The essential anthesis of parkland. If exceptions are made here, where will the line be drawn? What project will be next? Water slides or river rapids at Green Key? Further development may not be the committee's agenda, but it will be for the next electees. I'm
not inner to think that my words will impact on any way a project of this size has already been decided upon and set in motion, one where vast amounts of money have already been allocated and spent. I'm here to state my peace for my children and for the developing portraits that will see the value of it in their future. Thank you for your time.
