Okay, so I'd like to welcome everybody, whether you're here personally in attendance or At the kiosk. Um Planning Commissioner by the County Commission. We meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency. We hold public hearing in TransMet to the Board of County Commissioners' recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments. Land Development Code Amendments. resign and conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision making body for special exceptions, certain appeals. variance
requests and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition. Uh to any development code amendment, rezoning conditional use. uh or any item where the planning commission transmission uh transmits a recommendation to the board of county commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners. For those of you who are not familiar with the procedures of the our meetings.
They are as follows. We have uh continu items that will be uh c maybe b continued. And it's been our custom to approve a request for continuance by an applicant or the staff unless there are extenuating circumstances. such as the convenience of the affected parties. We have consent items. uh where we have not received letters of objection. From the public or from the staff? Those items are placed on the consent agenda and will be read item by item.
If there's an item that we read that you wish to be pulled from consent agenda notify us uh either by raising your hand or through the public Address system. And that item will be pulled for discussion. Absent any objec objections, those items which remain on the consent agenda will be voted on at one time. And approved. Applicants will be uh will to a applicants will have three minutes to make their presentation and concerned
citizens will have three minutes to state their concerns. Following the presentation, the applicant will have uh time to rebut or respond to the questionnaires. If there's been a request at least twenty four hours before the meeting, for extra time, such extra time may be granted, subject to the approval of the Chairman. And do we have extra time requested?
