Public comment on 2050 planning meetings
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Jul 10, 2025
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 3m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 90% of 20 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
We do have one individual signed up for public comment and I'd like to note we have nobody on WebEx today.
Yes, yes ma'am. Would you come forward please? You look familiar.
Maybe a
little bit.
We could have your name and address again, please.
[address removed] Um, thank you all for giving me this opportunity and good afternoon. Before
you before you start, let's just take care of everyone at the same one time. If anyone plans to come up and speak today, would you please stand, raise your right hand and uh be sworn?
Pardon me?
She couldn't hear.
Could you could you please stand and raise your right hand if you plan to come up and speak?
Do you swear or affirm the testimony or box the other gives you?
I think that's true.
Okay.
So basically I want to talk about the 2050 planning meetings. I want to thank the planning department for giving the public the opportunity to go to these. Um in particular the maps and info were great. If anybody doesn't know, these are the land use changes for up to 2050 that are going to affect everybody in this county. So I hope more people will attend these meetings. Um
The staff was very great at answering questions. The whole situation, the way it was put together with maps and informations and then people to talk. I think you covered the ballpark of anything we would have a as questions in it. I've been to two m I have been to two meetings basically because the amount of information coming out of it is a lot. And every time I go home I wake up at three AM and say, Oh, I
wonder about this and I wonder about that. So I need to go to another one. I'll probably go to one more yet. But everybody's been great and answered all the questions. But I'd like to say anybody that hasn't gone to one of these meetings for our land use changes ought to trying to go. Thank you all.
All right. Thank you very much. Appreciate it.
Okay, so before we continue, um if any if you have a phone on you please take a moment and put it on the silent position or just turn it off one way or the other so we won't disturb anybody that's trying to speak or trying to listen. And um
Let's see, I think that covers it.
Okay.
