Right, so I'd like to welcome everybody today. We are the Planning Commission. We're appointed by the Board C Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold Public hearings and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners. Our recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments. Land Development Code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. Planning commission is the f final decision making body for special exceptions, certain appeals. Variance requests. And
uh however final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any uh Development code amendment, rezoning conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation To the Board of County Commissioners it's important for you to attend the Board of County Commissioners. Those of you not familiar with the pr format of the meetings. There are three sections. There are continuances. Those are items where the staff or
the applicant has requested a continuance for any number of reasons. It's Been our tradition to grant those requests for continuance. Unless there are extenuating circumstances. We have consent items. We'll go through those items uh one at a time uh as we go through a consent item. If you want to be heard and poll from consent, raise your hand. We'll pull from consent. Uh for discussion. And then the we then we have the regular items. And those are the items that
will be uh fully vetted here today. questions and pr presentations. Applicants will have five minutes to make their presentation. And questioners will have three minutes. To state their concerns or ask their questions. Following the presentation. Um the uh applicant will have an opportunity to come back up and respond to those questions. Uh then if there's been a request for uh additional time, at least twenty-four hours
before this meeting in writing, and I don't think there has been, uh where they may be granted extra time.
