What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

So at this time, um

Charles GreyChair

Jaimie GirardiVice Chair

Mr. Chairman before you get into the procedures I just wanted to make two general announcements. Um At the last meeting the Board of County Commissioners amended the rules for hybrid virtual meetings. Made two significant changes. One is that we will no longer have a kiosk. Outside of the boardrooms. And that's primarily because they've opened up the boardrooms to maximum capacity. As you can see there's no longer

And the other is that we will no longer read emails into the record as a form of public participation. You may still receive emails from citizens that have interested issues and emails may still be forwarded to you and if they're ex party communications you should still forward those to Denise. So they're they're part of the record but they will no longer be read into the record. Um or received and filed unless you all want to receive and file a particular email. Gotcha. Does that make sense? Yeah, it does. Mm-hmm.

Those were the two major changes that the board.

Any questions? Anybody have any

Charles GreyChair

questions?

School District Representative

Nope.

Charles GreyChair

Okay.

So uh for uh those of you who haven't attended uh um one of our meetings regularly Yeah, the Planning Commission is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice a month. The Planning Commission serves as a local planning agency. The Planning Commission holds the public hearing and transmits to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments. Rezonings and conditional use requests. Planning Commission is the final decision making body for special exceptions, certain

appeals. variance requests and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, land development code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners meeting. Mm.

Uh I believe we have some minutes to approve.

Unidentified speakerVoice A

I'll make a motion to approve the uh meeting minutes from the June third hybrid virtual meeting. I'll second that.

Charles GreyChair

We have a motion. We have a second. Any further any discussion on the motion. All in favor of the motion signify by saying aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed? The motion carries.
