Um you know I'm a history buff and uh I just love when we're able to preserve something that tells a story about who we are and where we came from and and all those moments that brought us to where we are today. So um I think I think we're in this I think this courthouse is preserved, is that correct? Yeah. So um I I'm just so glad that you're here and that we're doing this. I don't think we've done

41:15one in my twelve years or eleven years. Have we ever done a historic? Reservation? I I think this is our first, so whoever brought this to our attention, thank you very much. Terry?

41:26Uh thank you, Commissioner. And Commissioner Starkey. Uh I have with me today the Long Range Planning Team of the Planning and Development Department. These are the team members that are responsible for the historic preservation program here in the county. To echo your comments, Commissioner, historic preservation is important, not merely for remembering our history, our heritage, and our traditions, but because it can show us where the future can take us to. For example, as you rightly noted, we're here today in the wonderfully

41:57preserved historic uh county courthouse in the center of beautiful historic Dade City. Uh and here is a remarkable example. that shows us what great community resilience and community character looks like when we preserve it. And this is what we aspire for our future as a county as well, standing on such shoulders such as what we see here in our historic communities in Espaunty.
