Jason has more than twenty years of experience. managing operations and programmes and leading people. He holds a master's degree. in environmental management and a bachelor's degree in environmental science. Jason did extremely well during his

1:14:25interview for the position and demonstrated his readiness to take on the public works director position. Of course, Jason is no stranger, as he is currently a member of our public infrastructure branch leadership team. I'm confident his talent and experience will make an excellent addition to the public works team. Now Jason will step forward to say a few words and answer any questions. Jason?

1:14:55All right, good morning, Mr. Chairman, members of the board. Um just real quick, thanks to Brantford and Mike um having the trust and confidence in me to do this position. Um I I just uh just wanna thank them both for that. Uh first I want to say don't let my New Jersey accent fool you. I've um I've lived in this area for over thirty years. I moved here when I was nineteen years old. I've um done college here as Brantford mentioned, and I've Spent my life uh here in public service. So I've spent over 24 years on various agencies

1:15:26uh in public service, actually living the culture that that the the county is known for. I've um spent time with uh our our community, actually our citizens and our customers trying to provide a better future. Um I think if uh you Look back at my last five years, I spent them here in Pasco County. And you know, we really do live the idea of people, purpose, and performance in the county. You know, in our branch and within utilities, we have some of

1:15:56the best people I've ever worked with in my entire career. Uh the utility team is an excellent team. Um and I I really look forward to leading and being part of the public works team that you just had here a few minutes ago uh and honor them through a resolution public works week. So with that said, if you have any questions for me, I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

1:16:21I just want to say I've worked with Jason for many years because he was with Swift Mud when I was on the Swift Mud board. So we go back a long ways and I'm really excited to uh uh uh uh have you uh take this position and I would move for approval. Thank you. Need a second. Second.

I think it's great that you're As a county Pasco employee moving up to the ranks, it's what we want to do is grow great great talent and let them thrive and for you to be able to move up to this bishop is great. Your record with Pasco is phenomenal. Your background with South Walk with Schuff Mutt is tremendous. And as we talked right before the meeting started, I was really intrigued by the Hillsborough County because uh as Pasco

1:17:09County is gonna go in the furture trying to be. More resilient working with those baffle boxes and litter traps, where we got two grants, one from nowhere from seven hundred and forty grand to another one for eight million dollars, working with the estuary and regional planning council. He's got direct experience in the baffle box realm. And I think with the litter traps as well, he'll be able to guide us, lead us, and and hopefully bring a whole bunch of grant money as well, and we can work on uh doing some great things together. So I I I can't tell you how excited they have you come on board. All in favor say aye. Aye.
