Mr. Chairman, members of the board, uh I had sent you all an email, um, but I thought I'd bring it up at today's meeting. Um
We were pleased to inform you that on January twentieth, uh the Federal District Court, Middle District of Florida, issued a positive order in Sierra Club and Rometta versus the Army Corps of Engineers and Pasco County. Those of us just refer to it as the Ridge Road extension case. Um so the permit challenge that was follow
filed by Sierra Club, when we issued our um notice to proceed to our contractor to construct Ridge Road about two years ago. Um they challenged in federal court the issuance of the Army Corps permit. Um the federal judge hearing the case. Um granted the Army Corps and Pasco County's motion for summary judgment.
Um there is still the potential for an appeal but the uh Judge Honeywell's order is well written and it should be difficult for them to challenge. Um the other issue is if um You would like me to set up a litigation assessment meeting with outside counsel. for your February seventh meeting with regard to the declaratory judgment action filed by the clerk. I'll
