Do I talk? Okay, ready? Resolution number twenty-one dash two eleven. A resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, congratulating Doreen Packard on her retirement and commending her for 31 years of service to Pasco County. Whereas Doreen Packard began her career with Pasco County in December of 1990, and whereas Doreen initially served with the fire rescue department, then onto human resources, where she quickly became the go-to person for

sorting out and often out the often difficult to understand policies and procedures of the personnel world, and where she played a critical role in helping establish the Pasco County employee. Wellness centers, which have become a much-valued benefit, keeping our county team members healthy and productive. And whereas Doreen was then eagerly recruited to become a key member of the organizational performance management team where she established Herself as the GLU holding together a

diverse and often complex miss mix of programs, actions, activities, and people. And whereas she also served our community tirelessly during multiple emergency activations, ensuring our joint information center was properly staffed and functioning at full capacity. And whereas Doreen has volunteered for nearly two decades assisting with the youth leadership. Pasco program, which each year helps identify and develop leadership skills in our Pasco County High School students. And whereas Doreen has set the standard

for perseverance and a positive attitude, taking nothing and giving all, turning every sit interaction into lasting friendship. Now therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida in regular session, duly assembled, that said board hereby congratulates Doreen Packard on her retirement and commends her for 31 outstanding years serving Pasco County to create a better future. Done and resolved with the quorum present and voting this 24th day of August 2021. Second.

Um, Mark is an amazing leader and a mentor,

and I couldn't ask for a better person to work for. I've had the pleasure of working with uh Ben Deal, um training manager for over 20 years and his training team. I've worked with Tambri Lane and Media Relations and seeing that division grow unbelievably. Lisa Stinnett and her customer service team are amazing, and then the performance development analysts that I work with. So I've

been very blessed to work with. With uh Dr. Bellis and OPM and um it's just been amazing. Thank you so much.

You know, but thank you for everything you've done for the county. Um again and on behalf of not just this board of county commissioners, but all the citizens out here, you've made Pasco County a a much better place for us all of us to all live, work and play and the Wellness Center, the we're your work on the Wellness Center, which benefits every employee here from now into the future. What a huge benefit for for everyone. So uh Mark, did you wanna say something before we come down? As I have a feeling you do.

Uh Just yeah, so all all the the the sentiment here, there's there's um there's a lot of emotion behind this whole thing. Um we know that that Doreen started with the county before there were child labor laws uh here in Glasgow County. She uh Uh we could not do what we have done uh and particularly in the organizational performance management group without Doreen. Doreen has been the glue that's that's put this whole thing together and helped us through it. And uh there's there's um There's there's

certain times that people come into your life and they they they change not just your mind but your heart and that's what Dorian has done for all of us.
