Florida Sports Coast Tele awards and New Port Richey CRA

1:47:37Thank you so much and thanks for all your great work. We really appreciate it. Okay. Down to me. Just a couple feel good items. Um the first one, um you won't be able to watch the video, but um you'll watch it from home. Florida Sports Coast won three tele awards again this year, our tourism um department. So congratulations to them. They won a tele award in three different categories for promoting um Pasco County Scholar Season. Thanks again to Commissioner Weight for all your great work on getting the scallops

1:48:07here in Pasco County. I'm looking forward and I'm going out July 17th actually. Um They want a goal telly. Best of the best and branding content for a budget under one hundred thousand dollars. They also won a silver and a branded content for travel and tourism and a bronze for branded content and promotional campaigns. So they won three tellies. Lots of interesting. Over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents. They did very, very well.

1:48:38So here's an example of some of the competition they had that they actually beat out, which is pretty cool. So finished ahead of NFL's Los Angeles Rams. Think about their budget. And for another one for a visit Pittsburgh. So I'll give you an example of visit Pittsburgh. I pulled their um annual report to check them out. They actually have six and a half times the number of employees that our tourism office has. So I think everybody can feel really, really, really good about our tourism department here in Pasco County. And it's

1:49:08the second year in a row that they've actually been recognized for the Tele Award. Um, and we look forward to all the great things to come. Again, scalping seasons, right? Um, Commissioner Weightman's July 17th. For July twenty sixth. We'll come to Pasco County. We want you here. Um another thing I'm going to bring up real quick. Mm. Newport Renchie C R A boundaries on july seventh. The city of New Port Richey will vote on removing a couple neighborhoods from the CRA boundaries. So the CRA will

1:49:38no longer be the entire city of Newport Ritchie as long as that passes their council. I know we've had many discussions over the last several years. So I really want to thank the mayor. I want to thank the city council. And I will specifically name Council. With Starkey and City Manager Debbie Manns. Um, had some meetings with those with them in the past. I did talk to obviously other um Council people too, but um You know, I I want to thank them for looking

1:50:08into this and um You know, working obviously. Um as well with the county on this. I know um Dana and his team was were in were in contact too. So I'm gonna thank them for um working together with Pasco County and and it's great to see they're they're going to be able to and it makes sense for them to pull a couple of those neighborhoods out of their out of their CRA. And last, just a kudos to some staff members, Mike Bunk and the traffic team. I did get a very, very nice email from a Mr. Clark.

1:50:39um in their R V park where they helped them with some traffic issues and speeding issues. And I got a very, very nice email from those folks there at the R V park. Thanking them for how quickly they responded and how they took care of that issue. So we're very, very appreciative of that entire team. So Kabala, please again express our gratitude.
