County Administrator budget workshop transparency
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

But uh At this time um Mr. Kavala or County Administrator, uh you can start us off.
Sure. Well thank you. Thank you, Mr. Chairman I just want to say uh thank you for everyone for attending today. You know, this is as I mentioned to a lot of you last night when we were talking, this is just an opportunity to provide more transparency through the budgeting process. The board has has asked to have more touch points and and this is something um you know constitutional Budgets are part of what the Board of County Commissioners has to make decisions on when it comes to funding. And so the point of today is just to allow an opportunity for us to have a dialogue
on your challenges and the things that you're seeing in your your various operations because they provide valuable services to our citizens, and just to help provide a little more transparency and understanding of what those are. And this this leads us then into a budget workshop with the board in June as as we continue to put together budgets, and I know you continue to put together your budgets as well. So we know this is not a budget review, this is not anything like that. It's it's more of just a sharing and an information exchange uh here here with with the board. Um I know some of
you do have other speakers that you may want to present certain aspects of your presentations. We we have a couple the chairs over there, so I would just ask that they could come forward and and sit there when it's their turn to speak and you know recognize them from there. So with that, um Mr. Chair, I
think
we're we're good.
