Recess and start twelve o'clock meeting
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Can um Mr. Chairman M we do have a twelve o'clock time certain. I agree this is all uh important discussion, um, but we can continue this discussion. Later on in our meeting this afternoon. I I'd like to uh make a motion that we conven we recess and start the twelve o'clock meeting. We have a lot of industry partners that are here and people online watching. So we need to really
Mr. Chairman Mariano. Yes. All right. Thank you. Um And I uh as we L talking about do doing the roads better, I think that's spray jet technology. I want to make sure that we do have a line item coming up for that, which I know staff can work on that. So the roads last longer and go better. Right. Uh as far as the schools and this in the side sidewalks of safety. I'm gonna make my priorities coming up uh some some as far as doing those joint projects with the school board. So when we go to Tallehasy, we go be together. And I think if we t took one year to focus on that would
be phenomenal. Um I do think Commissioner Starkey, you're right, we've got to be and Commissioner Oakley as well, we've got to be up higher in that middle category. to do something because part of it's gonna be paying off some of the difference. To help with that as well, as I suggested I think at the last board meeting, uh I went to a Regency Park Library yesterday, uh went through it just to kind of get the feel what the improvements were. I think we can do a lot better than the twelve million. I th I would be happy to take six million of that project and put it right into the roads as well because I think if we show people that we're getting these
roads done It's gonna be a lot easier for the future for down the road. Uh thank you.
Yeah. And just so you know that I know we're stepping stepping into a lot of things that coming forward and we are taking care of some sidewalks where there's there's been some gaps and we're taking care of that. in our in our process going forward. So
just one other
last
thing is that we also have to remember with our road conditions that our first responders can get to our
So we'll adjourn this meeting and I think you
just need to recess it. Yeah. Oh, excuse me. And if we could have maybe about five minutes to help them get prepped, that'll be great.
Okay.
Thank you.
So we'll do that and if you've If you're on a list or have been s received an invitation for this lunch meeting, you can stay, but anyone that's not
it's
open to
the public. It this is a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners. It's open to the public. You can't
We don't have less for the other people.
I understand, but you can't you can't exclude them.
Okay. All right.
Recess remote.
That's what it's read. I know, but I went through this.
As you know. Yeah, there's a thing there.
Yeah. He's gonna cable.
Yeah, fantastic.
Yeah.
You can't exclude
from the chambers. I'm not that wasn't my direction. I'm not going to
be able to do that.
Okay. I'm a soldier. I I I wasn't I had this discussion that they said it
had come from you when I when I took it
off the speech.
I didn't do that. Okay. Sorry. I mean I
mean I mean what I'm not trying to
exclude
anybody. Because I got I got media relations going, they can't do this. And I said you're right they can't do it. Well, so
what happened
was
Kathryn Mike is back as well. Yes. She asked me when Bible is really her work. I'm just a facilitator with the technical and pay for it. It's highly unusual.
Well I think
they're not gonna record. Well, I hope they are.
Let me talk to Mike then because it I thought this had been resolved when we took it off when
we redid the agenda.
All right, good.
Yeah.
All right, sorry.
Oh yeah, that's right. That'd be easier. May pop out and pop back in.
Yeah, there we go. Uh it is memory, no. It was yeah, it's a
that's the troublemaker. All right.
I don't think yeah.
I'll get it after.
Oh yeah.
Thank
you, I appreciate that.
Yeah,
What's that? No, it just keeps going on and immediately going out of that because I'm not sure. Sorry,
I tried tried tried the question. But we got you gotta get on the mic and tell uh tell everyone to get in here and get going.
I mean they should have told them to grab their lunch. Commissioners, grab your lunch and come back in. We're on a time time. We got minimal time here. Yeah. If it's below twenty million, I'm not gonna vote for it. What good is six million? Six million. You can't do anything. I will not vote for it.
Yeah, yeah.
You're all right. You know what? So don't don't don't want six million. And you need to be ready to say what you can do with six million a year. Well, six million Nothing. Seth Seth
takes care of the thing.
Yeah and then what? And then what do you take? And then nothing.
And then nothing. Not even collecting our arterial risk.
He he told me he took that money out of
that
one source and putting it into that that MSTU. So he'd have to put it back into the gen the other source and where you where's he gonna what's he gonna cut to put that back in? That's your problem. I'll try and articulate that as best I can.
Ron Ron, did you
get your lunch?
Huh? Did you get
your lunch?
Yeah.
Do you
want
me to get it for
you?
I don't mind if that's public because
it kills their department. Very good. I want people to be able to get their
cards.
Yeah,
