Public comment for anything not on the agenda
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Jan 10, 2019
The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted — it is an image-only scan — so nothing in it is searchable here, but it reads normally.
The county’s minutes for Planning Commission, Jan 10, 2019
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 2m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 100% of 5 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
Okay, so uh we're gonna get into the uh to the meat of the meeting and before we do we always uh ask for any public comment. If there's anything that someone is here to talk about today that is not currently on the agenda, this would be the time for you to get up and talk about it. You'd have three minutes to make your presentation. If I see no one raising their hand or getting up here, then we'll move on. And I don't. Okay. So
We are, let me just give you a few little background information for those who haven't been here before. We're the Planning Commission. We're appointed by the County Commissioners. We meet twice a month. The Planning Commission serves as a local planning agency, and the Planning Commission holds public hearings and transmits to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments. Rezonings and conventional use requests, the Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions.
Certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, the final decisions that we make here may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, land development code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the planning commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners.
Okay.
So are we ready?
